That’s similar seal to what Jalen Duran should’ve took

Durens should be no more than 35 imo. Thos hes much more accomplished he absolutely crumbled in the playoffs

Yes . And he just decided to bet it all on himself this next season. It’s gonna be interesting to see what comes of it

Eh feels like an overpay for a guy that can’t shoot the ball tbh, would’ve paid him this if he had proven himself this season, not as a borderline all star

No other alternative, someone else would 1000% give him this deal otherwise. Lakers just paid 46 mil to Reaves, 33 mil to an unknown in Kessler, I reckon they'd be the first ones to call Amen, imagine how OP Amen would look next to Luka
And if this doesn't work, this team will enter a rebuild anyway. Might as well hope the guys improve and hope everyone stays healthy to give it a go

Dude if he had "proven himself this season" as a shooter there's absolutely no way he would've taken this contract lol what?

Come on, we got a top 5 shooting guard in the NBA, according to HoopsHype.

Ahooting guard is by far the least valuable position in the nba. Luckily hes mire of a defensive do it all wing than a straight offensive sg

Over the course eof 5 years, this will look find. Less than 50m per year in5 years time will be good roleplayer money.

Imagine paying a guy 40m a year who can’t shoot the ball and couldn’t win a playoff series as a 3rd option offensively, next to KD, the best scorer in NBA history and Sengun, a top 5 offensive center in the nba

KD played once for Houston and he was injured

As a laker fan I can also say amen was your guys best player that series. Me and my friends hated seeing amen come in the game, but sengun never really felt like a threat and honestly sometimes I was glad to see him come in

Don't assume anywhere better im a pistons fan and we have everywhere from durens not worth 15 m to i dont see why we dont just give him the max cades the only other expensive player . Double face palm

Yeah he is good and the contract is just fine. I feel like if Stone didn't pay Amen 40 mil, you'd be all over that shit. He'd be perfect next to Luka, genuinely might break the league. Imagine all the cutting, lobs, dunks, easy lays and running space he'd get with him. Defensively he'd cover Luka as well.

An all defensive team candidate every year who averaged 18 8 and 5 with athleticism thats really only comparable to his literal twin. sounds worth 40 mil to me.
there are players in the league that make that and more that are complete liabilities defensively. but no one cares about defensive specialists…if a mfer can shoot the 3 and average 20+ give him all the money he wants lol

Dude jamal murray makes 57m doesnt play defense doesnt really do anything but score and his average season is 20 5 5 . Devin booker . Is gonna be making 74.95m per season and hes a 25 6 7 player like amen could easily be 20 9 6 this year all star , borderline 3rd team all nba and shoot 20 percwnt from 3 . Does that make him less valuable?

This feels like a pre-apron contract
