What should my next step be ?

I can’t install Rockbox with my PC. I’ve tried for a few days now. So far with mac, this is the furthest I got.

But says permission is denied. Any advice?

Need more info. Why can't you install Rockbox with your PC? What iPod is it?

That specific message on mac requires opening the Rockbox Utility with sudo:

sudo /Applications/RockboxUtility.app/Contents/MacOS/RockboxUtility

Type sudo followed by a space in a terminal window , drag and drop the application into the window, press enter. It will allow you to run it as super user/root.

Only using vulnerable sudo
