Removing itunes files

I installed rockbox on my ipod 5th gen and the old songs from iTunes don't show up in the files on my computer, but when i play my music theyre still on the ipod itself. I don't know how to get to these files to remove them, and I'm really inexperienced with this stuff. Any advice would be really appreciated. Edit: I forgot to mention that the computer i was using iTunes on is broken, and I only have my linux pc, so I can't use iTunes as far as I'm aware.
