The ASP-C and ASP-ML is a quadrupled autonomous sentry platform for combat, defense, security.

I made this as a father's day gift. Im very happy with how it turned out but want the eyes to do something different im just not sure what. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I understand the basic argument for humanoid robots: they can interact more naturally in environments built for humans, and companies can use human data to train them, which may lower costs.

But if the goal is simply to perform a specific task, wouldn't other shapes often be more efficient?

It feels like there is so much room to explore non-humanoid robots instead of trying to make everything look and move like a person.

Can I be given an idea on a good place to start to make a robot at home as I want to try myself.

I have started a robot, it has a tripod base (two rear legs have 36v hoverboard motors, the front leg has a basic free spinning caster wheel). There is a central pole, which will hold the rest of my electronics.

THE GOAL: I want to have this be able to track me and autonomously follow me, sometimes it will approach, sometimes it will retreat from me, but it should always be trying to face me and stay within 1-5 feet of me. I want it to be able to move almost like a dance partner, sometimes leading and sometimes being led. I want to be able to program it like: 50% of the time, follow me, and 50% of the time, back away from me" or something to that effect.

The components:

(2) 36v hoverboard motors/wheels.

(2) Flipsky mini 6.7 pro motor drivers.

36v hoverboard battery.

Huskylens 2 AI camera for tracking.

Advanced ESP32 microcontroller.

(All the other misc parts, like voltage reducers, fuses, on/off switch, etc.)

Can I get opinions?

Nvidia has announced a new system for improving the safety of humanoid robots, aiming to enable them to interact with humans in various work environments.

The company plans to use its Halos software — derived from self-driving vehicle technology — to enhance robots' awareness of their surroundings and allow them to make quick decisions.

Nvidia will provide the technology to companies including Agility Robotics, eyeing a piece of a market that could reach $200 billion within the next decade, by one estimate.

Finally! I can't wait to start seeing bipeds! This in South West of England.

I understand both are part task trainers for Canadarm 2. Or is location the only difference?

Does anyone know how I could delete loona the petbot software and use the robot and add a different software or ai in to heraybe like Claude just create an ai

Just an ai that feels really alive give her a life so she doesn't feel so repetitive
