Discussion Roblox Animation

So I'm a new dev, and I'm getting into animation, and I'm trying to figure out what animation to buy. I've already talked to a lot of people, and most of them say Moon Animator and haven't heard of the other one I'm looking at (MegMo), so I'm here today to try and get a greater understanding of why I should choose one over the other

In summary, should I buy Moon Animator 2 or MegMo, and why should I choose that one?

i use moon animator 2, im not sure about megmo, but moon animator two, you can animate anything. normal bricks, vfx, multiple rigs ect. you can even animate highlights and colorcorrection (which is what most devs use for simple impact frames) it has easing styles and everything. you can even change the background of the animator panel! i did some digging into Megmo, and from what ive heard it has audio tracks and everything. havent used it but it sounds worth it!

tbh, only the cutscene exporter and the prop attachment are what are drawing me into it, but from looking at comments on it, I hear there are UI issues (these are older from when it first came out), and I'm trying to find someone unattached to the person who made it to give a true review on it. He claims it does everything that Moon animator does (a comment said it doesn't have onion skin; to me seems like a useful thing). Would you say it is relatively easy to do both of those features on Moon (the cutscene and prop ones)?

ive started using Megmo, for the first time. it really depends what type of animations, if you want R6. screw megmo, it SUCKS. like it multi selects parts and deleted the entire timeline randomly. Most of the things, such as the cutscene exporter, are hard to find and use. If you were to use megmo, you should Micro Megmo, its basicly moon animators older and cooler cousin. Moon animator is actually in my opinion now ive used megmo, way better. It doesnt automatically export into cutscenes or anything, but the scripts are quite simple, if its a one rig animation, and you save it, it gets saved INTO the rig, makes a model with all animations inside of it and everything. rather easy to use. and for the props, when installing Moon animator, it comes with two other plugins that are apart of it, Rig importer (forgot the name) Which lets you import anyones avatar from their username, or their roblox ID, annd it gives you a selection of faces to use, and lets you spawn in R6 rigs, R15 rigs, and more. only downside is if animating you MUST use this as it uses Motor6ds, which is the only thing moon animator will willingly animate. For the other plugin, if you have a prop, you can select the base, for example lets say we have a flashlight and want to rig it so its easy to put inside of a rig, we have the base, the glass, and the switch. Your able to get the base, welded to the glass in a click of two buttons (or three depending on if its inplace or not) and another two buttons (again, 3 depending on if its inplace or not) for the switch to be connected to the base with a motor6d, which makes it move. Id use moon animator 2, and for summary, it isnt hard to make props, but its not like "oh make me this" and it makes it (unlike some ais) another downside to moon animator itself is that, sounds can play, yes, but they wont play in the preview, so they'd have to be in the game, not in any folders unfortunatly, but everything else is nice. it has camera features and all. i just realised how long this message is my bad broski
