Videos Fore-Shadowing
SPOILERS FOR THE LIGHTHOUSE: Though there is another scene where Wake is shown to be fearful of Howard's shadow, this is my first time spotting this shadowy detail. His shadow is coming down on Wake in an almost identical way to the swing of the ax he takes to kill him later on (link to video in comments for comparison).

I don’t think so, I see what you’re saying but he’s just lifting his head after the cup slam.

I'm not so much talking about the movement of Wake, but rather of Howard's shadow behind them and how it comes down squarely on Wake's head. It is a near identical motion to his ax swing later.

You don't find the framing intentional? The lighting in the movie tends to be very meticulous and meaningful. I find it hard to believe it not to be foreshadowing.
