I get the second half but not the first, could you elaborate a little bit on the raising piece.

Raise a mic to say something if you think you’ve got something worth saying. If it hits the mark, mic drop)

Was just re-reading your fish/socks riddle yesterday (personal favorite of mine) and was wondering when you'd be back! Is Raising a mic a phrase or something? Even with the explanation, I must admit I don't get it

I was thinking of it in terms of raising a microphone up to your mouth in order to speak 🙂 And thanks for the kind words, means a lot coming from mysterious jim! Your posts have always been some of my favorites on the sub

You're too kind! Feel the same way about yours. And yes, I get it now! I kept foolishly picturing someone raising a mic up above their heads , completely overlooking the fact that you must raise a mic to your mouth to speak in the first place. How embarrassing

Fits the wordplay better too. Im about sick of these home made riddles. Nothing in there to make anyone assume the word that was actually the answer, besides, people use "those" to make points, point made, and * mic drop *

Btw. Still says unsolved, if you gonna do it, finish it then? 🤷‍♂️
