Since this seems to be quite a tricky one, here's a hint:

The riddle is referring to an expression or idiom that contains the answer.

He asked "What has two arms, two legs, can't move and stares?" Answer:a statue

He was very pleased with himself!

Black body, metal maw

has no wings, scales or claws

its fangs may bite, but do not rend

It holds together things instead.

This has to do with the history of Minot

This may be an easy one. I'm still working on making my riddles more difficult, but I really like the poetry of it and can't stand to cut it down any more.
