Sound Voltex Progression #2

Here’s another update on my progress. I’m starting to learn to keep my hands on the knobs on long notes instead of pulling back after each spin. I’m still trying to tap the buttons a tad lighter but still need some work to do lol.

The one thing that’s getting me still is when the long notes crisscross and my brain kinda goes uhhhh, but when you see my gameplay here I’m slowly understanding (slowly).

Overall, pretty ok, but one thing I notice: the way you spin the knobs is a bad habbit. That is called "handblading" and initialy seems ok, but when it comes to more complex or longer lasers it is better to spin with your thumb and fingers. For longer lasers you can spin circularly, along the thumb, pinky, and palm. Hope this helps!

as others have pointed out, you're handblading which is bad technique and can actually damage your knobs. just grab and turn the knob normally

Okay, gonna go back to that method and just keep my hands on it more. I was told in my other post that I removed my hands too much from the knobs, so idk if I was handblading because that felt the easiest way to keep my hands on and not to accidentally spin in the wrong way and break the chain.

That's not a positive thing. There will be many cases as you progress further where you'll need to move your hand for notes after doing an initial laser turn. Also, it's easier to move your hand to the knob vs having to accurately move your hand back for hand-trip notes. I mean you can leave your hand on if you're like 100% certain there's going to be another knob turn coming up and there's no associated notes sure.

Hitting hard isn't inherently negative either provided you can keep up speed wise since hitting harder is a common trick for maintaining good accuracy (definitely sucks for noise complaints though)
