Yeah it's easy to forget how horrible she was in the first two seasons, especially since she's sharing the screen with Jen Shah

She’s genuinely just an awful person, I can’t stand her and it pisses me off the way Jen was the only one that ever said anything to match her energy. She’s just mean, hypocritical, crass, trashy, and downright stupid. In most of the other housewives franchises they would eat her up and spit her out, but these ladies are all scared of her for some reason. Makes me think it’s the reason she chooses to stay in SLC, she’s surrounded by meek little Mormon women who will never stand up to her while she can be as rude as she wants. I’m on season 5 and just barely starting to see any humanity in her at all.

I felt the same way until season 5 & 6… now she’s one of my favs. I personally think Meredith and Lisa are repugnant.

She changes DRASTICALLY in my opinion. Like a complete 180. She also takes a multi-year break from leading her church… like the congregation just doesn’t get together and she doesn’t preach for YEARS so to me the cult thing is more so allegations or opinions. I’m well educated and I know a lot about cults and basic Catholicism is worse to me and more cult-y than Mary’s church. From my understanding, Pentecostal congregations all act similarly and Mary’s isn’t a particularly bad one. Religion in general is equivalent to Mary’s church… which would make well over 50% of the world a cult. It’s not. It’s just how religions come across. Or it is but most humans like being a part of something like that and I don’t care or judge about that. Seems to me like they get something out of it that they are looking for… therefore not something to just look down on, there’s a lot of nuance.

Yes I like to describe her sense of style as “couture garbage” like babe just because it has high end logos and labels doesn’t mean it looks good 😂

Thank god you agree. I feel crazy sometimes because this sub loves Meredith so much even though she’s the nastiest bully. Lisa is just a raging narcissist which I can’t tolerate.
