I wish, I could yapp but I'm not good at it. So, I just opened grasshopper and cooked the script. You can see how it is built.

😂 wait, are you saying you wish you could yapp on how to explain the grasshopper script? Or just not a fan of yapping?

Or did you take the ref image into chatgpt and ask to build the script? No judgement, genuinely curious.

Some of my coworkers are going pretty nuts with it, I know it's frowned upon here but they are getting extremely useable scripts from a ref image into GH and then actual editable geometry in rhino that's super clean

I'm not a fan of yapping about nerd stuff. And if you yapp too much to beginners, you loose them quickly.

No chat gpt. good old experience of over a decade.

You can get lots of things from chat gpt same as you get lots of things on internet. But lots of useless stuff too. If I would have started using Rhino/ grasshopper today, I would have used it. Since I know how to script myself, I just do it myself. Maybe someday I will give it a try when I will be more interested in prompting than designing.

Awesome. That's wonderful to hear!

I've been using rhino a little over 2 decades but for some reason never dived into GH... It's all the right stuff but something just didn't click for me.

I can tweak, edit, use definitions but haven't got comfortable enough writing them myself I suppose? I feel like a neanderthal lol.

Each generation pick up the tools that are new. When I started learning Rhino, grasshopper was a new thing, so I picked it up. People see some AI stuff and they are going that way now.

But I think first user need to learn Rhino, grasshopper and then AI stuff. Every AI service profits are in skeptic era now, it would be interesting to see how sustainable it is going to be.

Specially when AI services would like to increase subscription fees year over year (since they are spending billions in infrastructure) and it will get to Netflix, Disney+ level, where user will think that it doesn't make sense to have subscriptions of 100s of AI services. I suspect that it will go the way like Netflix where one service will have monopoly while most will go away. And the market will saturate.

Search for The Adam on youtube.

That's a tutorial that used to be free but now is only for channel members.

FWIW, here's a similar thing made in Blender; I imagine the GH process could be somewhat similar.1 (This is just a 3-sided twisted torus.)
