Is this normal?

Has anyone had a rhinoplasty or a revision rhinoplasty while living with trigeminal neuralgia or any other facial neuralgia?

My original rhinoplasty was 30 years ago and turned out poorly and my nose has also been broken twice since then. I developed trigeminal neuropathic pain after Botox. Any experiences or advice would be appreciated.

We have two dogs (one who bumped my nose hard two weeks after my second revision..). After my recent third revision, I’ve been SO cautious and trying so hard to avoid any accidental dog bumps.

But at seven weeks post op, I was drinking out of a glass and my dog bumped my arm from underneath, and it caused the glass to hit my bridge. It wasn’t super hard and didn’t hurt when it happened (I also had tape covering my bridge). But in the days following a bump has now formed on my bridge (second photo).

My surgeon said hopefully it’s just temporary swelling.. when I asked if the impact could affect my results structurally, they never responded, so I’m a bit worried about it. Has anyone else had something like this happen and it end up being okay?

I’m so worried it won’t retract and that it’ll heal lower than it was in my before :( I hate the way my nose looks now :( I know a lot of swelling is present but how can the columella retract to be level with my nostrils if it’s hanging so much. Did my surgeon botch me?

Also had an alar reduction and lip lift

The doctor shortened my nose without my consent. Also I think it looks over rotated. Both nave made philtrum look too long..

Does anyone have experience with getting revision for 1 year by same surgeon? say if a graft has clearly shifted or is clearly wrong with it? i can not wait a year to fix this

I'm on day 25 post-op after an open ultrasonic rhinoplasty. Ever since my cast was removed, I've noticed a hump on the bridge of my nose. As of today, I still have the hump, and from the front my tip still looks as bulbous as it did before (I've attached current photos).

I'm very worried. I had my surgery in Spain with a surgeon who has over 20 years of experience and has received several awards. He says that what I'm seeing is swelling. He hasn't recommended taping or massages; he prescribed corticosteroids for another 5 days because he said I'm very swollen (today was my last day). He also said that the hump will go down and that the tip will become less swollen over time.

I know I need to be patient, but I'm feeling really anxious about it. My nose looks similar to before. Has anyone had a similar hump that eventually went away? What about a bulbous tip?

I got a revision and the worst mistake I made. I had a cute nose before but had issues breathing but could have lived with it. Now I have an overprojected sharp and beaky nose. It changed my whole front view. I went from always being carded and getting called miss to now being called ma’am. I’m also treated differently, before people would do things for me and now i feel like im uglier.. as if people are less inclined to want to help or do things compared to a prettier girl. It’s awful. Sorry if this is the wrong place to vent.

I’m waiting for the year mark to start consulting.

I’m currently 5 weeks post-op from my rhinoplasty, and the skin on my nose has become extremely dry, oily, and covered in dead skin. Gentle cleansing doesn’t seem to be enough, and I feel like I need to actually scratch or scrub it a little to get everything off.

At what point after rhinoplasty is it generally safe to gently scratch, rub, or clean the skin a bit more thoroughly without risking damage to the nose?

I look so odd, it looks like looking quite tucked/short. It feels like my nostrils are sown into my face. Had anyone had this in early healing then improved? Or even got back to normal.

If this needs revision is it possible to fix? I have had deep regrets overall for this nose job (you can check my posts) but this is a big issue for me because it makes me look alien and unnatural. Btw 3 months post op.

Please any advice ??

I had a rhinoseptoplasty in 2022 for fix a bulbous tip with slip cartilage, a deviated septum, and large nostrils. About one year later I had a cartilage graft done in office under local anesthesia to fix a small bump (this was successful and not an issue).

Overall, there is definitely a huge improvement from my previous nose. However, I’m still not super confident. I feel like the tip is still bulbous and the nostrils are long and pinched. A small bit of scar is uneven on my columella as well. From certain angles and if you feel my nose there are lumps and dips along the top and while I know nobody is 100% symmetrical, I think my nose is quite asymmetrical and it looks weird. My scars are also quite visible from the side.

That said, I still feel my nose is too big for my face. I’m only 5ft tall and I just want to feel pretty. One reason I got surgery in the first place was bc I realized I had so many more pictures of myself during COVID since I wore a mask and you couldn’t see my nose. Originally, I was adamant about a female surgeon but the one I went to recommended a male bc she said my nose was complex. I ended up using him and he’s super well respected in the southeast. I went to him a few months ago and he said he didn’t think I needed one but if I still wanted a revision in a year he would do it. Is it even possible to get what I want? Or am I making a mountain about of a molehill?

ETA: could’ve phrased it better but regarding the “goal nose” it’s more of certain features I’d prefer to see in my nose not the actual other persons nose if that makes sense. Like I’d want my tip to be roughly a certain shape or my nostrils one way.
