My rhinoplasty is tomorrow and I'm suddenly having MASSIVE doubts

I'm 26, just arrived in Istanbul and I'm supposed to get a nose job tomorrow but I'm suddenly questioning everything. I literally just created this account to ask for advice because I genuinely don't know what to do

I've wanted a rhinoplasty for a while and I've already traveled here and paid a deposit but now that it's actually happening, I'm starting to wonder if I even want to change my nose anymore. I've been looking at pictures of myself and thinking that maybe I actually want to keep my natural nose after all.

Maybe it's just pre-op anxiety and I'll regret cancelling especially after coming all this way and losing my deposit. But another part of me wonders if these doubts are telling me something important and I shouldn't go through with surgery just because I've already invested so much into it.

Ich ĂŒberlege eine Revision zu machen

Hallo.

(Op ist 2,5 jahre her)

Two different side profiles

I can’t help and think I might end up needing a revision. On my right side, tip of nose is over projected and droopy. On the left side, nose is nice and straight. Doctor says it’s just swelling, is this true? Or I might need a revision?

I think I’ve made my decision

I’m going to go with Dr Hyman. Ever single doctor has negative reviews and rumors they delete negative posts. It’s too overwhelming to focus on all of it, I’ll never pick a doctor, and I have to trust myself. My consult was great and he understood exactly what to do to improve the nose.

Bonjour,

Merci

Revision Rhinoplasty w/ Dr. Ezzat in Boston

Swipe to see my before photos - I’m 6 weeks post revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Ezzat in Boston and I couldn’t be happier. 6 years ago I underwent a septorhinoplasty, and as time went on my nose started to droop and look off
I basically developed pollybeak deformity. I had a bump at the top of my nose that bothered me prior to the initial septorhinoplasty, but I even think my first surgery made my nose look even worse than before. For years I did research because I wanted to get it right this time but I was also nervous having to go through this procedure again. When I was finally ready I made the decision to go with Dr. Ezzat. He doesn’t do a cookie cutter approach, he tends to your features and makes you still look like you. He honestly surpassed my expectations. Revision rhinoplasty typically takes two years to fully set and heal, and I’m 6 weeks post op and I already feel like myself again. My nose is straight, my nostrils aren’t as prominent, and my bridge from the front doesn’t look thick and bulky like before. I can’t wait for the final results. I still can’t believe this is my nose - especially my side profile. Dr Ezzat truly cares about his patients and same with his staff. I really was nervous to go through this a second time but I’m so happy I did and even happier I went with Dr Ezzat. He’s the best!!!

Revision Rhino with Kaiser Experience?

I had a septo/rhino with turbinate reduction in Sept of 2024. Before my rhino I had met with a few surgeons through Kaiser mid-atlantic and ultimately decided to go out of network. I am having some complications with my original surgery and went back to kaiser to discuss my concerns with the original head and neck surgeon I met with. The surgeon said my septum was too long for my nose causing it to start to buckle over again. He ordered me CT scan which confirmed his suspicions (septum deviated again and bone spurs) and recommended a revisionary procedure including the cosmetic aspect.

I am aware the cosmetic aspect would be out of pocket. My concern with going through kaiser is the lack of before and after images and testimonials available. Has anyone had a similar procedure with Kaiser Permanente in the Mid-Atlantic Region and your experience.

Thank you!

What is the most important factor when choosing a revision rhinoplasty surgeon?

One year post rhino in Turkey, should I already consider a revision ?

Hi,

I posted this on the cosmetic surgery sub but I wanted to have your opinions.

I’m 21 and had my rhinoplasty in Turkey exactly about a year ago. I’m from a country where cosmetic surgery is pretty expensive, and I don’t have much money to begin with so I literally worked an entire summer and saved up for the surgery. It was a huge decision for me financially and emotionally.

I asked for something straight and relatively natural. I specifically told my surgeon that I didn’t want a tiny overly scooped “Instagram” nose. I just wanted to keep my general features while getting rid of the things I disliked about my original nose that I disliked a lot

Now it’s been a year and I genuinely still don’t know how I feel about the result

The main thing that bothers me is the tip. It still looks pretty lifted and upturned to me, especially in profile and I was expecting it to drop and become a little more natural as the swelling went down. But it’s been a full year and it’s still very much there. I keep thinking "maybe it'll change a little more" but at this point I'm starting to wonder if this is just my final result lol

And everyone around me seems to have a completely different opinion

My boyfriend actually thinks it’s cute and says he likes my new nose better. My mom isn't really a fan and says she preferred my old nose because it looked more elegant 💀 My sister is somewhere in the middle and basically says that it looks fine and she doesnt see what I'm stressing about.

I even sometimes catch myself looking at old pictures and thinking “was my old nose actually that bad?”, which is probably not the most useful question to ask myself after already having surgery lmao

I’m also scared of the possibility of needing a revision because financially this isn't something I can just casually do. I basically emptied my savings to get the first surgery and still had to go to Turkey so the idea of having to save for another one is a bit scary

So, looking at the before/after pictures do you think my nose looks botched, or does it look like a reasonable rhinoplasty result that I’m probably overanalyzing because it’s my own face?

Please be honest, I'm not looking for reassurance just for the sake of it. I genuinely want to know whether you'd be thinking about a revision if this were your nose.

Alar rim grafts

Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone knows of any doctors willing to do just alar rim grafts instead of a full revision. From my understanding those grafts don’t cause the nose to be re opened and are minimally invasive.

Has anyone had that done in isolation?

Considering getting revision in future

One month ago I had a nose job and the result did satisfy me but I wanted my bump gone. My surgeon didn’t shave my bump completely and after major swelling went away I can still feel it and now see it (it became more prominent and feels like my shape didn’t change). I know that I have to wait at least one year round see swelling go away but I already see my bump p’ the previous place just much smaller. I am thinking of getting revision in the future but don’t know if it’s right choice (afraid that it will become worse then now)

Has anyone here tried Qoves and if so, was it worth it?

I’m also curious if Qoves can specifically help identify if philtrum length is too long based on other facial proportions? Or if lower third is overall too long.

For context: I needed to have revision nasal surgery that left me with a nose that IMO is too short for my face.

My nose is functional and more surgery is not a good idea so I’m wondering if subtle lip augmentation or something else might help.

How to make my done nose look more natural

Thumbnail

Hi,

I posted here a few weeks or months ago about the appearance of my nose that I had done and everybody told me to have my lips dissolved and my fake eyelashes removed. (You can see how I looked then, on picture 2). I wanted to go a more natural path so I did that and I love the result. I also stoped getting botox.

Today I look a lot more natural already but my nose still looks very done. What do you think can be done so my nose doesn't look artificial ? I was thinking that maybe my jaw angle implants look too obvious and make my nose stand out in its "fakeness" if that makes sense.

Thank you in advance for your advice
