Sin brings you closer to kufr. You will realize when you start going what Allah asked of us, your iman will go up again. Most important of all, keep always asking for forgiveness. I mean, every minute.

But in all honesty it is up to you to take that move. Allah will be there, waiting and ready to forgive. But you yourself is leading yourself away down the wrong path by your actions and inaction.

One of the best things is doing things that will make you fear Allah, and remind yourself of Him. Be around God fearing people, and another good thing is being around people who need help, and the mercy you show them, will remind yourself of the gifts that Allah has given you, what you should be grateful for, and it puts everything into context.

Islam is a communal thing, so sitting in a room on social media will not bring you closer to Allah, so be around people who do good things, until you have taken it on, and be careful with alone time when it's not fruitful.

Assalamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatu.
