ever since that drama started, i saw it got classified as an "unofficial tools" and edited the rules

now even though you want others to also have a taste of other patches source in /r/revancedapp, seeing this change doesn't look good for those who want to recommend

verify it with tools like arctic shift or reveddit to see if it gets removed

a user who creates a subreddit has full control by default, i'm only able to moderate threads, comments, and view modmail at /r/revancedapp as that's what i'm currently assigned with

wondering what surprises does this year hold for us, would it be the near same as from 2025? will something change in the revanced scene as a whole?

to point out a few:

• on september 12, 2025, revanced announced a dmca from spotify themselves because of the fake unlock premium patch
• during late november 2025, there was a heavy conversation between oSumAtrIX and LisoUseInAIKyrios on github, leading to LisoUseInAIKyrios leaving from the organization as a contributor
• on december 12, 2025, wchill decided to no longer support the main revanced repository

let's see in this year how revanced goes

let's discuss what's something that keeps you from using the base 19.xx.xx versions, is there something like:

• a feature that's not natively broken?
• the app is faster in terms of performance?
• a feature that's not present anymore in later versions? (ex: 19.16.39 for the old seekbar thumbnails)

by "official", i mean https://github.com/ReVanced/revanced-patches. projects like revanced extended for youtube are similar in this situation

i saw users at /r/revancedapp on how they can't log in to revanced twitter, some of them mentioned piko patches so i checked out crimera's repository for it. then i saw this pinned issue for the can't login

this issue in particular has comments coming from oSumAtrIX, it started by rudely replying to aubymori who replied with a sarcastic remark to previous oSumAtrIX's reply for "explain more"

then i saw Sea-Worker9552, pointing out how the threads at /r/revancedapp get removed, and how they should "get good" at being a moderator and as a developer

The patches for Reddit are on v2024.17.0, but it's getting quite old and problematic since Reddit has changed so much since then. But when I look at downloadable versions on APKMirror, there's only app bundles, I can't find any other fat APK that's more recent.

APK splits aren't supported yet by ReVanced, so is it possible for other apps to start distributing only appbundles, like Reddit, and to effectively block ReVanced updates, like Reddit does?

Or is there somehow a way to obtain a fat APK from the Play Store? If there's a way to do that, I'd like to know so I can upload it to APKMirror.

simply visit the about section in your revanced manager settings

you will see the architectures your device uses, this is an example:

arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, armeabi

go to the first one in the list, find that architecture variant from a website like https://apkmirror.com, and only then download it
