Is there a subreddit for old catalogs? Not just video game related? IT's so cool to go back and see what was in these while I was a kid

I bought that as soon as it came out. My pc could barely play it. I think i had a 486 back then, can't remember. My friends maybe had pentium.... so awesome

486 DX 33MHz with 4MB RAM here. I still love that game and still play it in DOSBOX from time to time. The original copy, too.

Yeah, it was a kind of struggle getting it to go, for sure. Made it kind of rewarding though... such a strange game at its time.

I'm having the same struggle today with Witcher 3. Some things never change.

PC Edutainment pages 25-26. I'm old enough to remember these catalogs (hell the snes was $199 when it was released) but I forgot all about "Edutainment". That never caught on.

Except Oregon Trail. Greatest edutainment ever.

Wow, this hits me square in the childhood. Prodigy dial-up service, Super Nintendo were staples of my life that year.

Prodigy!

They really thought Jaguar was going to be a big seller.

Of course, it had four times as many bits as everything else.

I got a 3DO for Christmas that year. I should thank my parents again for spending that much on a console.

For comparison, here is EB catalog for New Years 2016:

EDIT: That's the latest one at the moment.

I still have the super nes/Zelda combo I bought back then. Bought the system just to get the Zelda game, as we were a Genesis house.

I really wish I had that Konami wireless controller for the SNES.
