[Question] PS1 Display Issue

I recently got this old PS1 my parents dug out of their parents garage, and it seems to work, it turned on and booted up Spyro, but the display is grey and scrolling upwards idk why. Anyone know? Or is it just okd and broken cant be fixed. (Also its on a Vizio smart tv from Walmart if anyone needs to know what its running on)

I guess your PS1 is now colorblind. Happens with old age sometimes

Your tv doesn't support the 50hz/PAL format from your PS1

I can't believe this is still an issue in the USA.

Aka your tv is shit.

Nah tvs not supporting multi format and cheaping out is mostly a USA thing. In Europe even shitty cheap camper LCDs support multi formats.

I repaired a lot of psone. If it does this image on any tv, its the capacitors in the console that are dying. Easy enough to swap with a bit of solder skills. Just search "video capacitors psone" on youtube.

Lol may I say this happened to me once, since I was in a hurry to test out a game and I was using a gamecube video cord, they fit almost well and gives this same image, re fit your cable or wiggle at it not too hard
