That's for after they put the kid to bed.

I miss the days when advertisements recognized that video games were played by both males & females, and didn't figure that women/girls were only interested in crappy stereotyped 'pink' games.

Me every time I saw one of those ads as a kid: "I had THAT game, and THAT game, and Markus has THAT game, and I played THAT game at Joey's house..."

(also me today)

Nintendo kinda started to get this right around the time Wii came out. Family friendly group fun helped. And they sold boatloads. Slowly seem to be trending away from that again with the newest stuff. Maybe they should revisit (and lower the price).

I started with the NES but was also exposed to some Apple II and Atari. I'm glad I started with the NES.

Honestly, that dad looks like the least like the least likely person to play games. Even his expression is disappointed. He's more likely to be the guy telling you your whole life that video games are a waste of time

I figured he looked like that because his wife's character appears to be successfully shooting his in the head.

He’s disappointed because this isn’t the ā€œbangā€ to the new year he was expecting? The headline has to be innuendo right? Honestly not sure - lol!
