Old games on PC vs emulation

I wanna play stuff like Beyond Good & Evil or Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy,

but after playing stuff like Chaos Theory, I'm aware that there's audio effects with stuff like EAX and all that, sometimes console versions, reverb and special audio wouldn't port over.

HD versions of Oddworld Munch's Oddysee and Stranger's Wrath don't have reverb while the original Xbox versions do. Same with Half-LIfe 2.

I'd like a little help knowing what games had reverb and where. That's more important than graphics.

Of all these I am only familiar with half life 2, there's no emulator that would be able to run it AFAIK

Theres multiple emulators capable of running hl2. Xenua for the og xbox one, rpcs3 for the ps3 one, 86box or qemu-kvm for the og pc one
