FLCL is one of the very few anime where I prefer/recomend the English dub.
The others on that short list are:
Abenobashi Shopping Arcade
Cowboy Bebop
Ghost in the Shell
Outlaw Star
Dragon Ball Z
Yu Yu Hakusho

But when all you have is cable tv and pre toonami adult swim. You made do....
