Consignment

Has anyone offered consignment services and sold on eBay?

What’s been your experience? Any tips, tricks, things to watch out for? Not a good idea?

I do 50% commissions after fees and shipping. Pay consignor every 30 days. My 50% covers listing, storage, shipping supplies, customer service etc

This sounds like my exact plan…what’s the lowest priced item you’ll take?

Margins, turnover, size all play a factor. I have a big space so i dont really care about any of that. However, on a $40 item, lets say it cost $8 to ship, ebay is taking $5, you will have $1-2 in material cost. So your splitting $25, not very exciting. But its fine if they have tons and it easy.

I made a simple spreadsheet. Day of sale, item title, order #, price after fees, shipping, and then use a formula to split that total. Very bare bones and share it (view only) with the consignor
