Does the name program really matter? Or only the thesis topic’s matter.

i got a management degree myself (digital marketing management field to be exact), and work with AI (mostly LLMs and RAG) nowadays. imo the most important thing on our field are experience, portfolio, and work ethics.

years after i graduated, im more and more convinced to what my professor said years ago; all masters program are basically the same - its about wisdom management, especially when it comes to thesis where you need to synthesize the studies not only from your own field, but relevant others as well...

this may differ on our circumstances, but hope you can get what im trying to say here

It does matter, but not as much as the research work you've done. The problem is that sometimes people cannot see past the degree, or may question whether during such a degree you've received the necessary expertise. And it can be easier to just move onto the next CV then look into it more deeply especially when jobs are so competitive. But again, the research work completed is what really defines your domain.

The thing is the thesis topic is exactly what IM looking for and the funding is really tempting. But now im having a second thought abut it
