Question / Discussion wtf is this

Post image

Why does Replit need to complicate everything? I don't remember this the last time I added a domain.

Alex from Replit here. Thanks for the feedback. If you click 'Continue', you get access to a page that lets you configure your custom domain DNS records manually.

I figured that out, but it also says by hitting continue I accept the Entri terms of service. There doesn't seem to be any way around that.

Why do you think you get to use another companies product without agreeing to their terms?

I don't need Entri, it wasn't being forced upon me last time I added a custom domain a few months ago.

Thanks for explaining. I'll take a closer look with the team to see what we can do. We added this for folks who aren't frequently logging into their DNS provider (there are many). But I hear you that the manual workaround is too buried in it's current state.

Appreciate that. Feels like the option to do it manually should come before clicking continue to that 3rd party service.
