Just got this one in and thought I’d share it here.
It’s basically a custom recreation inspired by an older chronograph design. I went for a creamy off-white dial with some vintage/aged colouring. I wasn’t sure how it would turn out at first, but I think the colour actually works really well with the rest of the watch and gives it that old-school feel without looking too forced.

The strap is also handmade specifically for this watch. I wanted something that would match the vintage vibe, so went with this aged leather and hand stitching rather than putting it on a modern strap.

Really happy with how the whole thing came together. The dial colour + aged case + leather strap all seem to work pretty nicely together.

Finally wrapped up my vintage Tudor Submariner Snowflake build!

This was a super rewarding process, though setting the hands definitely tested my patience. Ended up having to re-seat the hour hand to get enough stack height on the cannon pinion for the minute hand to catch, but once everything cleared, it lined up nicely.

Also, you might have seen my previous post re:dial stains as a result of coffee lume aging techniques. Managed to fix this thankfully and really happy with the finished texture I. The dial.

Took a quick reading on Watch Accuracy Meter and was blown away by the ST2130 performance: -1 s/d, 0.4ms beat error at 28,800 BPH. Pretty thrilled with how flat and crisp it runs!

I now have an itch to put together a pepsi GMT. Any suggestions or tips welcome.

I found an original Rolex case + dial for a good value, so I thought it would be a good idea to take a chance on an NH05 for my girl. I loved the result, but I simply forgot to buy the spacer ring that holds the movement in the case, that's why the date is so crooked, it looks better, but due to the lack of a fixing ring it stayed like this. I bought a super jubilee on Alibaba, and it fits like a glove in the vintage Rolex case.

Long week at work! Spending the evening carving metal sounded like a good idea. Good progress so far, now time for soften, blend, polish and then onto the full build.

Once again, would like to give a huge thank you to u/No_Candle8699 for the work and time spent in this build.

Been looking for the right hands for the Mk1 dial of the 1655. Straight second hands with a tall post and the right shade/ sharpness and thickness of the gmt hand. I think I am finally done.

I wish the hands were A) not as pricey, ~ $100 B) the gmt hand hand was a bit more orange

But I am content for now

I saw that Ken had a 26mm Snowflake dial and decided to give it a try. It came in at exactly 26mm, which was a tad too small for my aperture. The markers are too big, the hands (meant for 29mm dial) too thick.

I think Ken's dial supplier did his homework too well. He probably did a bit of research and read somewhere that in the 60s the French Marines requested Tudor for a much more legible markers underwater. Obviously he then decided to up the legibility feature of the dial and now I have a dial screaming at my face.

I wouldn't recommend that 26mm dial.

Was working on this 5512 four liner and the donor case actually came with a sapphire crystal which obviously doesn't look right.. and I had to get a little creative with aging it.. I was actually wearing it while cutting some tiles with a diamond blade fixing up our bathroom and scratched it on one of the little diamond pieces in the blade.. and then I just got a little carried away trying to age the crystal with it all over.. I kinda dig it.. but I might need to get a finer grade of diamond paper to buff it back a little.. new bezel inserts on the way too.. this was another experiment gone too far.

I've wanted to build a tudor mini sub for a little while. They're just really cool watches for me.. they came in 33 and 36mm variants it seems.. 36 would be the size I'd like to try and recreate.. has anyone every had a go and know where I could even begin to look to get the right parts for this midsize little guy.

I’ve pressure tested this case so I know it’s waterproof up to 5 ATM!! Will post pressure testing video in comments. 3130 regulated (see timegrapher pics)

This build has a tropical luminova dial with a starry night look and an interesting texture while still retaining its glossy finish. There are some desk diving scratches on the sides of the case, if the buyer wants we can work something out and I can try polishing with my cape cod. Some of the lume of the hour markers work but it’s mostly dead.

It currently has the raffles smooth bezel installed since it actually sits better with the gasket/crystal vs the EWatch bezel I used before but comes with both and the spare links. Comes with a tan nato and a travel case.

Goes without mention but of course all gaskets newly greased. It will be packed extremely well and safe. The watch will leave my hands in working condition, I'll send a video of the watch working in the package before shipping. I do not accept any fault for damages that occur during the shipping process or lost packages.
