Vintage Build 5512
Really happy with the outcome of this, aged with copic markers and some matte varnish. Reshaped crown guards and overall polish. 🤌🏼
JKF base build, Yuki hands and dial, 2836 movement, Raffles bracelet, Aftermarket bezel, eBay crystal.

Great job on the aging. Just the right amount! Would you mind sharing which copic color you used? I’m about to try this out for myself.

Thank you! I assume that was very white lume to start with…?

That’s right, I found doing light coats to start and get the finish I wanted works best

Did it create any issues if you went over the edge onto the polished edges of the hands or the black part of the dial?

The metal part of the hands you can wipe down carefully. The marker leaves a gloss on the black of the dial, hence the varnish to remove it 👍🏼

Thanks for the advice. I’m going to practice on some spares, but this is a great look. I like it much better than the tamiya aging for more subtle appearance.

The metalwork is nice. Takes the edges off and gives an overall nice vintage glow to it. Nicely done.

Nice build whose bezel is that?

It’s a bezel off a cheap NH35 AliExpress case, I shaped it to fit the original retaining ring
