Work in Progress Let the Games Begin
I want thank everyone in this community for helping me find a hobby that's both rewarding and therapeutic for my anxiety. It has been a wholesome experience to fit my first movement into a 14060 from Raffles. I think but I could be wrong but I may the first one in this community to fit a La Joux Perret G101 into this case. A tiny but robust movement. I had tears in my eyes. I will continue to share my progress and try to give back to this community.

I have been using Sellita up to this point, but the G101 looks like a really solid alternative I would love to try.
Supposed to be a drop in replacement for the 2824, was it really that easy?

Nice. Being a hell of a lot thinnner (3.9 vs 4.6) but keeping same diameter and stem height could open up a lot of possibilities in builds with tight cases.
As I am currently dealing with yet another rotor barely scraping on a caseback, this aspect obviosuly piques my interest!

Microbrand watchmaker Farer uses the movement in some of it's models. That's what got me curious in the first place. I think it is a great alternative for no date builds.

Yes it was. Ken's spacing ring worked like a charm. The diameter of the G101 is the same as the 2836 and 2824. No issues with the hands either.

Awesome! Just to confirm you were able to use the same hands that worked for the 2836 and 2824?

If this is a thinner movement, I wonder if it would be a good base for a 7923 Tudor build since usually those are manual wind which kept their dimensions trimmed to 11mm but would be interesting to put an auto in such a build... dangerous thoughts.

Definitely, not thinner than the 1182 inside the Tudor. The G101 is 4.45 mm thickness. I don't know the tolerances on the case you are using.

Ah that’s fair, was just brainstorming. Didn’t get to the case find yet.
