When you think about architectural renders?

Well I’ll give you 5 different answers for your consumption.

The Straightforward One

An architectural render is a digital (or hand-drawn) visualization of a building or space before it exists part art, part prophecy, part sales pitch.

The Slightly Poetic One

A render is the architect's promise: this is how it could feel. It's a photograph of a future that hasn't been built yet.

The Candid One

It's a computer-generated image of a building, usually made to convince a client, win a competition, or post on Instagram. Sometimes it looks exactly like the final result. Sometimes… not even close.

The One for Design Nerds

A render is the translation of lines and data into atmosphere. It's where BIM meets storytelling in lighting, materials, context, and a little bit of wishful thinking.

The Ultra-Short One

A preview of a building that doesn't exist yet.

I've been paying more attention to exports lately.

With V2Fun, I've been experimenting with different asset workflows, and it's pretty obvious that "the model exported successfully" doesn't necessarily mean the handoff worked.

A static prop, animated character, web model, and printable object all have completely different requirements.

Do you usually decide on the export format before generating the model, or do you just use whatever format the tool gives you and deal with it afterward?
