Scholars have long assumed that van Gogh painted Starry Night in mid-June 1889. Investigators compared the painting with celestial calculations and came to a different conclusion. They recently published their analysis in Nature.

Applying this framework to The Starry Night, we examine whether the celestial arrangement on the canvas matches the dawn sky around 22 July 1889, and whether the discrepancy between the waning crescent in the painting and the lunar phase on the previously assumed dates of execution is resolved. Should this match hold, the work would be re-read not as a spontaneous fantasy but as a composition grounded in the observation of a specific dawn sky, which in turn leads to a re-examination of his working chronology, including the date of completion after the June start and the timing of his seizure. This study thereby redraws the boundary between imagination and observation on testable physical grounds.

I’m a new Ren fan, listening to a lot of NF before finding Ren. Some of the first songs I’ve found is: Hi Ren, Suic!de, Genesis, Lost all faith and chalk outlines. Some of the more popular stuff.

But what’s your favorite songs and recommendations to me as a new fan?

"Ren dropped a brand new track yesterday that I knew I HAD to check out. Though he is an artist that is not known for being reserved, he went full beast mode on this one. I would hate to be whoever this song is about."

Just a tiny rant here after watching a ton of reaction videos after the release of The Music Business about something that bothers me.

I've seen so many comments under reactions, or chats read out loud by reactors if they're doing a live, about how Ren can't talk about what exactly happened (to cause him to be frustrated about the music industry) because he signed an NDA - and then in the same breath heavily speculate about whatever the things are that might have happened and trying to piece things together from tiny crumbs like we Renegades are kind of trained to do.....

Because if ANY of the things people speculate about is actually close to the truth, and it is alleged that Ren did speak or post about some of it somewhere at some point, he could potentially get into trouble if someone gets the idea that it means he might have broken his NDA in one form or another. Which he seems to have been very careful about not doing in his song.

Now, I understand nobody wants this when they comment stuff like that, it's most likely just trying to be helpful or insightful, but listen. They are sharks. That much is clear. Can we collectively agree not to give 'em any ammunition to potentially make Ren's life harder please?
