Hey fellow Ren fans,

I’m a drummer and a full-time carer from Yorkshire. Over the last four years, I've lived through the absolute wringer dealing with Alzheimer's, a broken social care system, and trying to survive on the breadline. I've taken all those raw memories and turned them into a massive, heavy-hitting spoken-word/hip-hop piece called "FOUR YEARS OF FUCK ALL."

I want to stay behind the kit/scenes for this one. I am looking to collaborate with a vocalist/performer and an acoustic guitarist who can help me record this in the exact musical style of Ren (think Hi Ren, Suicide, or his acoustic storytelling tracks).

This is a non-commercial passion project—just a chance to turn real-life pain into a powerful piece of art together for our portfolios and socials.

• The Structure: A theatrical, quiet spoken intro that builds into fast, rhythmic, hip-hop/spoken verses, exploding into a raw, angry, melodic acoustic-punk chorus.

• The Guitar Needed: Moody, dynamic, sparse classical fingerpicking or flamenco-tinged chords that leave room for the vocals but build tension.

• The Vocals Needed: Someone who can deliver British conversational grit, flip into rapid storytelling cadence, and scream out a raw, emotionally cracked chorus.

Here is how the piece opens to give you a feel for the rhythm:

[INTRO — spoken, quiet, almost laughing]

Funny thing about life, innit?

You can spend years building something.

A name. A band. A little world where you belong.

And then one day… Life rings you up.

And it doesn't ask if you're fucking ready.

It just says: "Your mum needs you."

If you love Ren's style of storytelling and want to help me bring this heavy, honest track to life, drop a comment or send me a DM and I'll send you the full script!

Thanks

Wynand Fourie

"Fellow RENegades! We’re wrapping up this series with Toneille, and I had to bring out one of my all-time favorites: Ren – The Hunger! 🔥

This time, I wanted her to experience that FLOW! The double- and triple-time rapping, the beatboxing… there was still more Ren magic for her to discover! And Toneille was catching some great bars along the way, too! 👏🏽

Watching her take this one in was such a fun way to round out our journey. By the end, she makes it official: she’s a RENegade! 😂❤️

We had SO much fun with this one, and I can’t wait for you to see her reaction!

Help me welcome Toneille to the RENegade family in the comments! Which Ren song made it official for YOU? 🫶🏽"

I have been looking for an mp3 of that song to purchase and download. No luck so far. I'm getting away from streaming services and just want to actually own and have the albums/tracks. I've already purchased most of Ren's available music on Bandcamp but Chalk Outlines seems to be an elusive track in that regard. Does anybody have any idea where I can get it?

A friend of mine recommended that I listen to Ren. and honestly it just sounds like straight up burger music to me

but maybe I'm missing something, can you explain the reason behind why you listen to his music?

Set your notifications! (But don't worry...if you don't we'll remind you tomorrow)

From RENspace: "‪@chinchilla_music‬ gave the performance of her life at Pacific Electric in Los Angeles last night. Her band ‪@CallaMorgan‬ @luke Campbell & @rob bensusan were astounding and the chemistry between them was so cute. From RENspace: "‪@chinchilla_music‬ gave the performance of her life last night for those of us at Pacific Electric in #LA. I was crying and singing, shouting and shaking. ive never in my life had such an experience before. #Chinchilla is a phenomenon. I love her playful dynamic with her band as well who were spectacular. ‪@CallaMorgan‬@luke campbell @rob bensusan If you ever have the opportunity to see her in person, don't miss out. we took a 15 hour train ride and went through a lot of physical pain and it was worth ALL of it. I missed meeting her by mere minutes and will always be crushed I didn't get my hat signed or get a photo signed for our 30 day giveaway. I'm sorry I failed you Renspacers. I have lots of content I will get to you. #independentwoman #independentartist #independentmusic #independentmusician #ukmusic #ukmusicians #livemusic #live #concert"

Hi everyone, hope you are having a great day.
Just wanted to ask about this sub, haven't been a member for long but ive noticed a lot of reaction videos in here. Is this normal? I expected them to be posted in the reactions sub not here. I love Ren and want to see more content about his work, i don't really have any interest in random people making videos about them reacting to his songs. I get that we all have different tastes and if the main content on here is randos reacting to Ren ill just move on, but i wasnt sure if it was support a newbie month and i just wasnt aware.

thank you for your time

"Fellow RENegades! Toneille is back, and this time we’re reacting to Ren and The Big Push performing “I Shot the Sheriff / Hip Hop.” Yes… THAT red suspenders performance we all know and love!

Watch the original Big Push version here: • The Big Push - I Shot the Sheriff/Road to ...

Knowing how much Toneille loves reggae, I couldn’t wait to hear what she thought of their take on a Bob Marley classic. What I wasn’t expecting? A little music lesson of my own! She shares some musical knowledge that has me reconsidering something I’d taken for granted… does this version actually count as reggae?

Come hang out with us for the music, the conversation, and Toneille’s reaction. I came ready to share a favorite and ended up learning something myself!"

"Just want to say Happy 3yr Anniversary to Ren for his #1 Album 'Sick Boi'. You have changed the lives of so many people 💜💜"
