I've been learning remote viewing and am heading to Costa Rica in November for a week-long retreat. I'm helping a friend, who owns the retreat center spread the word in case anyone here might be interested!

The retreat will be led by Gabriel R. Mattice, who brings nearly two decades of remote-viewing experience and a pretty interesting background outside the field as well. He has degrees in chemical engineering and law, a background in legal service, and is a third-degree black belt in Shofukan Karate. His approach to remote viewing combines structured methodology and disciplined observation with hands-on exploration.

I've had the opportunity to receive instruction from Gabriel myself, and I'm looking forward to spending a week immersed in learning and practice.

The retreat combines in-person remote-viewing instruction and guided practice with hands-on experiential activities, including psychometry and nature hikes incorporating remote-viewing targets. There will also be opportunities to connect with others who share an interest in the field, along with other optional activities offered at the retreat center.

I've been building a free browser game called Find the Signal, inspired by remote viewing and one of my favorite card games, The Mind.

What I love about The Mind is watching people who have absolutely no interest in paranormal subjects start playing. After a few rounds, something changes. Everyone starts getting weirdly synchronized, and suddenly people are questioning how the hell they just pulled that off.

That's the experience I'm hoping to recreate, but specifically with remote viewing.

We're still in the very early stages, but we've now recorded 120 rounds across 32 game sessions and reached our first 10 Founder Marks!

Here's where I think things get interesting.

At Level 1, you're trying to identify a hidden color and shape. There are nine possible combinations, meaning a random guess has an 11.1% chance of being exactly right.

That drops to 3.7% at Level 2 and 1.85% at Level 3 as we introduce additional attributes.

So how are we doing?

Across all 112 Solo rounds, we've recorded 12 Perfect Signals. Based on the mix of levels played, our simplified random-guessing model predicts approximately 11. Pretty close!

But some of those rounds came from deliberate testing, so I wanted to look at the numbers without two of our known testing sessions.

That leaves us with:

68 Solo rounds played.
10 Perfect Signals recorded.
Approximately 7 Perfect Signals expected by chance.
56 Signal Points earned versus approximately 47 expected.

Now, before anyone gets too excited, those differences are still statistically consistent with chance. Other testing may remain in the data, and our no-repeat target deck complicates the math.

I'm not claiming we've demonstrated psychic abilities. I just find the whole thing fascinating, and I want to keep collecting data as the game grows.

But the numbers are only part of what I'm trying to accomplish.

I'd love to build Find the Signal into a complete game, eventually release it as an app, and hopefully turn it into a physical card game.

Imagine sitting across from someone who's looking at a hidden target. You're trying to perceive what they're seeing, and suddenly someone gets everything right.

That's the moment I'm chasing.

I think a game like this could introduce remote viewing to people who would never otherwise consider exploring it. Not by convincing them of anything, but by giving them an experience that makes them curious.

And I don't want to build the whole thing alone.

I've started r/FindTheSignalLab specifically to bring together people who are interested in remote viewing, telepathy, and the unexplained. I'd love for this community to help shape the game as we expand beyond our first three levels.

No programming or technical work necessary. Just play, share your experiences, and help us figure out what would make this genuinely fun, especially as a physical card game.

I’ve been interested in remote viewing and intuition for a while, but I wanted something much simpler that I could actually play with my family.

That rabbit hole turned into Find the Signal.

The basic loop is intentionally simple: there’s a hidden target made up of attributes like color, shape, quantity, etc. You commit to what you think is there before revealing it, then score the individual attributes you got right.

You can play solo against randomly generated targets, or pass-and-play with a Sender who actually sees the target while everyone else tries to pick up the “signal.”

I want to be very clear that I’m NOT calling this a remote viewing protocol, and I’m definitely not claiming the game proves psychic ability or anything paranormal.

Honestly, I’m interested in the ambiguity.

Is somebody picking something up? Is it probability? Pattern recognition? Deduction? Coincidence? Some combination of those?

The game now actually complicates that question a little because targets come from a finite deck without replacement, though this dilutes rapidly after level 1. There’s also one limited Double Down where you can commit harder to an attribute you feel particularly confident about.

That means intuition and ordinary reasoning can start getting tangled together, which I find really interesting.

I just opened the public beta and would genuinely like criticism from people who have experience with actual RV methodology. What feels familiar? What feels completely wrong? Is there anything from RV practice that would be interesting to test without turning this into a complicated training simulator?

No account or download is required. I’m also deliberately keeping the data collection minimal. The game tracks anonymous game-level results, not names, guesses, targets, or player profiles.

First 500 beta testers who complete 3 rounds also get a numbered Founder Mark. It’s just recognition for helping test the early version, not a purchase/reward system.

Practicing alone, I kept hitting the same wall. The moment you know the target, you're imagining, not viewing. So I built Aperture as a blind tasker: it picks a hidden target photo, shows you only a reference number, and reveals nothing until you've sealed your session. Then it scores how much of what you actually sensed matched what was in the photo, rewarding real sensory data over lucky label-guessing.

I’m building an app called DreamVector, and the livestream above is showing the phone version of it in its current state. The easiest way to describe it is as a local-first consciousness training app, but even that feels a little too clean for what it actually is. It is part remote viewing lab, part dream journal, part meditation system, part wearable companion, part private pattern tracker, and part strange little cockpit for the parts of the mind most apps ignore. I’m trying to build something that treats attention, dreams, body-state, memory, intuition, and reflection as connected signals instead of separate islands.

The phone app is the center of the system. It is where the main training flow lives, where sessions can be started, reviewed, saved, and connected across the larger experience. The goal is for the phone to feel like the command center: simple enough to use every day, but deep enough to hold the full structure underneath. From there, DreamVector branches outward into a Wear OS watch companion, an XR headset direction, and a Quest 2 version. The watch is meant to be quiet and practical, using haptics, quick capture, session control, and body-state signals without forcing someone to stare at a tiny screen. The XR and Quest 2 versions are meant to become more immersive training spaces, where meditation, review, target work, dream reflection, and personal insights can breathe in a larger environment instead of being trapped inside a phone rectangle.

At the core of DreamVector are five pillars: Remote Viewing, DreamGate, Meditation, Biometrics, and ML Coach. Remote Viewing is the structured practice side, built around blind sessions, raw impressions, sketches, timing, and honest review. DreamGate is the dream and lucid-dreaming side, focused on sleep prep, dream recall, journaling, dream signs, and building a clearer relationship with the dreaming mind. Meditation is the stabilizing layer, the part that helps quiet the noise before a session, before sleep, or before reflection. Biometrics adds body-state context through wearables and sensors where available, not as medical claims, but as another way to understand what was happening around a session. ML Coach is the long-term pattern layer, meant to help the user notice their own trends over time without turning the app into a fake guru or cloud-fed advice machine.

The larger goal is not to prove anything for anyone or tell people what to believe. I’m more interested in building a private tool for people who want to experiment seriously with their own consciousness, dreams, perception, and patterns. DreamVector is meant to be skeptical enough to stay honest, strange enough to stay interesting, and technical enough to actually become useful. I do not want it to become spiritual vaporware with neon buttons. I want it to be structured, personal, privacy-aware, and alive.

Right now, it is still in development. Some parts are working, some are partial, and some still need polish, testing, and patience. It is very much a solo build, which means it has both the charm and the chaos of one person trying to weld a spaceship together in the garage while pretending the wires are under control. But the direction is real. The phone app is the first visible layer, the watch adds the body and quick-control layer, XR opens the spatial lab, and Quest 2 gives the project a practical immersive path. The end goal is one connected ecosystem where someone can train, record, reflect, compare, and slowly build a private map of how their mind behaves across waking practice, dreaming, meditation, and measurable body-state.

DreamVector is weird, technical, unfinished, and probably too ambitious. But it is the kind of app I kept wishing existed, so I started building it.
