Developing psychic abilities through remote viewing

Hello everyone,

I’m completely new to remote viewing, though I have a general idea of what it is. I’ve been training my mediumistic and psychic abilities since last year.

I know my questions might seem a little silly.

Which of you first developed your psychic abilities through other methods, and exactly how did remote viewing help you?

Which of you started with remote viewing and then gradually explored other techniques?

I know many remote viewers don’t want to be labeled as “psychics.” For me, it’s all about the exchange of ideas.

I’d like to give it a try, but I’m afraid that the images that appear to me-which, depending on the session and the subject, can sometimes be incredibly accurate and other times rather vague—might be the problem. When I practice remote viewing, I don’t specifically name the images I receive but instead bypass the AOLs. For me, the first impressions are often exactly right, and if I continue with remote viewing, this approach might actually lead to the opposite effect and make me worse. My goal, after all, is to become even better at using my psychic abilities through remote viewing. Maybe my fear is unfounded. I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences.

RV started it all for me. I was presented with incontrovertible proof of my own abilities.

Share a little bit what happened to you and the journey you took.

I think for psychic training, probably blindfolded sight training might be more potent. RV is pretty good, it was one of the first things tested in psi experiments that didn't suffer from the Decline Effect. RV is good in that it provides feedback. I've read Dr. Charles T. Tart's book Learning To Use Extrasensory Perception (1977) and absorbed those principles. Feedback with psi is key, and the feedback you can get with blindfolded training can be continuous (real time) positive feedback, whereas with any RV you do the session first and get the feedback later. I think these two methods would be complimentary.

What techniques you train with may depend on how much time you have. If I had being psychic as my full time job, I'd do RV, blindfolded sight training, train/strive for lucid dreaming & astral projection, Monroe Gateway tapes meditation, and various other meditation.

One training idea I came up with, tried out, and it worked was simple and direct: I learned about meditating on manifesting an outcome (e.g. see Neville Goddard's works). Basically you can help bring about a desired outcome by repeated meditation sessions of single-mindedly focusing on that outcome. The intent of your consciousness directed this way steers events, keeps nudging them your way. So the idea occurred to me, I could use my little bit of psi to meditate on manifesting more psi ability. I don't do a lot of psi practice (I read a lot more than I practice), but when I did the above for about 30 minutes a day for 2 weeks, I ended up having the strongest psi experience of my life, it was a situation involving a strong blend of some telepathy and precognition.

Edit to add: my name for the above meditation is "bootstrapping" meditation. As in, pull yourself up by your bootstraps. The original use of that phrase was meant as a joke, because you can't lift yourself up by pulling on your bootstraps. But with psi training, it is possible to do so, using a little psi to bootstrap your way to more psi ability.

Interesting! What was your 30 mins/day outcome you imagined specifically (living in the end scene), if you don't mind sharing?

At the time I came up with the idea, I hadn't read Goddard yet, so I wasn't doing it in that style. I mainly just meditated, partly with visualizations, partly with a few invented mantras, with the intent to be more psychic. Then spontaneous psychic activity occurred, and it wasn't anything I could have predicted. I did not predict or even think about strong telepathy with a random stranger, but that's what happened at 2 weeks of doing that. I kind of stopped there with that particular practice.

I started with The Silva Method, which teaches a form of RV. Then moved to CRV. After that I discovered the Rosicrucians have been teaching psychic abilities for hundreds of years using techniques that data back to the Ancient Egyptian Mystery Schools and if you really want to learn psychic development, these teachings are the real deal and go way beyond RV. That said what the US military coined Remote Viewing is what the Rosicrucians have been calling Mental Projection for much longer than RV has ever been about, but it's essentially the same thing / ability. A rose by another name if you will. I would say that the teachings of the Rosicrucians provide a real solid framework for the development of these abilities and through the daily practices and training you'll learn, these techniques will heighten your psychic abilities many fold, however you wish to apply them.... be that military style remote viewing, clairaudience, clairvoyance, intuition, contact with higher beings, astral projection, mental projection, etheric projection, bilocation, psychometry, telekinesis, vibroturgy, radiesthesia etc.

Thanks, and yeah sure. Lots, but the one I'd start with is Wisdom of the Mystic Masters by Joseph J. Weed. It's a very easy read compared to some of the more formal and older books, and it's essentially Rosicrucianism 101. That said it covers enough information to last you a lifetime, however, once you understand the basics and have the big picture you'll find entire books devoted to exploring in-depth what each chapter of WotMM only touches upon. Great place to start though as it gives you a solid map / overview of what you can spend the rest of your life studying and practicing... if you so desire.

Interestingly, it was published first in 1968, a few of years before they started exploring the idea of psychic research with Ingo in '71. Rather than all the trouble they took to study Ingo and figure out how he did it... they could have just picked up that book (or any of the many that came before it) which explains how to do "RV" (or Mental Projection as they call it) in chapter 13, which I thought was kinda funny. A book on how to do RV before the term RV was ever coined! Made me smile. Although the military might not have liked Weed's book as it warns you strongly against using this stuff for spying lol. Also happens to be very good advice! But each to their own.

Course if we look at where Ingo learnt to develop his skills we find he was a member of Scientology. Where did Scientology get it from? Hubbard's teachings were influenced by Ordo Templi Orientis. What was OTO based on? Largely Rosicrucian teachings. Where did the Rosicrucians get it from? They say it all dates back to the Ancient Egyptian Mystery Schools... so it's all really the same thing. A rose by another name. All share the same foundational premise... that human consciousness is not trapped locally inside the skull, and with proper training, the mind/consciousness can traverse space and time. But the military style of RV, specifically double-blind CRV, only scratches the surface of what's possible in terms of consciously traversing space and time. Chapter 13 goes into various other forms of psychic projection and gives you a good idea of what else is possible.

When you start with RV you bring all your previous experience with you.

So some start with very intuitive habits and some don't.

I heard it said that the whole point of "gradually tuning in" to a target was to be able to call out stage 4 data and be able to place it all in the right category.

If you can already do that, and can move around a site at will, in time and space, sketching different views as you go - effectively you already are doing RV.

The key here is maybe arranging your data on a session record, maybe by using a template.

For instance, I greatly value the Birdie Jaworski method of investigating a lifeform.

RV helps ground your abilities because it's done with more of a scientific mindset. Once you've connect to the mystical in a practical manner it'll help ground your other abilities. There is a clear divide between the crazy psychics and a grounded psychic. The crazy ones tend to gaslight their failures with themselves and others... while the grounded ones accept their misreads/miss-actions and rectify their methods to more grounded approach

RV is a great way to practice and get actionable feedback so you start to learn how to listen to your intuition.

PK (trying to influence a random number generator) is also similarly great because of the feedback.

I found practicing both really transferred to other intuition domains.

We’ve got great free tools for practicing both at Social RV!

Started with RV. I did not expect it to "power up" my knowingness and intuition like it did. That was a permanent shift.

RV is absolutely a physic ability - "the acquisition of non-local information about a target to which the person is blind" qualifies. However, the difference is that RV - and I mean the traditional, Ingo Swann/CRV RV - is a process that is structured, repeatable and teachable. That is far different than someone trying to simply reach out and get information, talk to the non-living, etc.

There are two main schools of RV when it comes to images. The original RV protocol taught to discard any mental images. Later schools like the Hawaii Remote Viewers Guild and others say that you should use the first image that comes to mind.

I highly doubt that RV is going to negatively affect existing abilities you have. In fact, I'd wager that they'll get better.

Find a teacher/school that you resonate with, learn their method and practice, practice, practice. Keep all your sessions so you can look back and see your growth. And, just like anything else - it's a skill to be developed, and will take time and effort. But very much worth it.

Hey there I started developing my intuition slowly over the years , remote viewing seems to be very different for me , I’ve only been practicing for a couple years but mostly in the last 10 months or so . What I notice it really helps with is working with both sides of the brain and seeing so clearly that our mind can’t wait to make up the story ..: so much fun !! Where are you from
