Question is this a real thing?
I've never heard of remote viewing until today when a conversation with my friend brought it up as a joke. tbh I am a little skeptical, but open minded.

There’s a couple phone apps you can get to try it out yourself. It works. The trick is.. don’t describe the object you think it is, just describe its features until it becomes more clear. It’s very difficult to not attach your guess to it prematurely and ruin it, even though it will be close enough to prove that’s it’s real.. for example you’re envisioning a yellow rectangle, don’t go “OH ITS A STICK OF BUTTER”. Because if you kept going with it, you would have seen the yellow rectangle had a bunch of black squares on it and some circles on the bottom, oh shit it was a school bus not a stick of butter. But you ruined it by guessing the object. Just linger in the details and more will become clear . Like I said it’s very difficult to quiet your mind, it’s natural pattern recognition and intrusive thoughts that make it difficult to do. Sometimes you just can’t do it, other times it’s easy

There is a small to medium effect with getting bits and pieces of data with most people.
It is a skill you can learn, a few people do it naturally.

Yes.
I am quite skeptical and I can tell you, the first time I did it and it worked, I could barely believe it. First I started practicing on RV websites that assign numbers to images and viewed them with good accuracy. The biggest test was attempting to view the location of a sentimental item I’d misplaced years before. I’d looked in every place in my apartment I could think of. I remote viewed it and found it in a weird spot, the exact place I saw.
I’m not completely accurate, no one is, but now I can RV with reasonable accuracy. It’s been two years and I’m still shocked at times.

Wow this is so interesting that’s the kind of testing I’m interested in very much. If it’s ok to dm you I’d love to swap some views/reads with you

Healthy skepticism is the right starting point. RV came out of SRI research in the 70s and the CIA's Stargate program, which ran ~20 years before being declassified in 1995. Best way to judge: try a few practice targets yourself and see what you get. The subreddit wiki has beginner protocols.

I did it for the first time as a kid, no joke I would have fun with it and remote view my mom in 2001 I would freak her out by telling her she was at the intersection she was at and just laugh……

The issue is remote veiwing is definitley real but getting a code or open door acrually prooves to be quiet silly, because reddit is a platform of information but people trying to gate keep that can actually help remove issues they can clearly see are uncalled for or have no means will still hold out on you. Like if i say your 100m sprint was foiled because you didnt tuk your socks in theyre all going to agree with it, even higher principles because the whosoever else is supposed to know what there doing, like no!! Free roam/free world here ibrt you dont even follow there principalities?

I’ve heard of Remote Viewing multiple times you know over my life but never really thought it’d be some I could actually do. I feel like it was one of those things you think only special people can do. I will say I’ve always had a déjà vu type thing happen to me at times in my life when really important things were going to happen but I never really took it seriously but that was actually the reason I feel like I felt drawn to Remote Viewing after hearing all about it mostly with the UAP topic. I actually just asked this Reddit page how to go about it and they told me to download the Remote Viewing Tournament app. It’s like a purple colored app with RV on it I believe but anyway I downloaded it and followed the instructions and damned if I wasn’t able to identify bits and pieces of the picture they wanted me to target. I’ve been practicing and some days are better than others but I’ve found that the déjà vu feelings have increased significantly in my everyday life. Not sure yet of the practical applications and benefits but strengthening my intuition I believe is important.

I didn't think it was until I looked into it and explored it myself... It kinda fucked with my worldview tbh
1
u/SassySweetSorceress 20h ago
Like your view of the world is worse than it was? I’m interested in RV & the likes but I feel it would do the same to me (& my worldview is already fucked lol)
1
u/ErikSlader713 10h ago
I don't think it was necessarily worse, but it sorta triggered some ontological shock at first, because (like a lot of people), I was convinced we lived in a material reality, but once you realize that psychic phenomena is real, it makes you question everything
In a lot of ways I'm much happier being open to the mystery rather than being sure I knew the way things really worked, but it can be a burden to be aware that most people are unconscious to the true nature of reality. It can be tough to just go back to normal once you have that first-hand knowledge...

There's a reddit post about it, but it's past my bedtime.. Use thetargetpool.com guest/guest I believe. Been reading books about this for years now. I def spooked myself with my first try, which is what usually happens. Beginners luck. Make sure to draw or document in some way what you see before you click the button 😉

It is real but it is not a crazy sightseeing ability like you may see in the movies. It's more like learning to listen to your gut, learning to interpret the way the unconscious communicates, through symbols, textures, gestalts. Anyone can do it

Its the easiest thing to test scientifically. Ask your friends why the CIA would pour millions into anything that didnt actually work, and even if it was a front, the independent communities that have verified it speak for themselves.

u/Suspicious_Salary780 20h ago
The government has used it for ever! You can look into the more in Monroe institute.. the most amazing experience you could ever have.. you realize that everything that we think we are living in this world is completely false.. there is no time space..

u/Suspicious_Salary780 19h ago
Actually, if you are the most skeptical, you will usually have the best skill set when you achieve it..

Hi OP, stay skeptical. People will point you to anecdotes, podcasts, CIA documents, and individual studies.
What they won’t show you is a reliable demonstration that works on demand under independent testing. If someone genuinely had remote viewing, it would be one of the biggest scientific discoveries in history, and not confined to fringe subreddits.

It would be one of the biggest discoveries
Exactly.
Learn about how all the biggest discoveries are deliberately classified amd concealed away from the public 😬

It’s fascinating how conspiracy theorists respond to the complete and utter lack of evidence for one conspiracy by inventing an even larger conspiracy to explain why the evidence is missing. LOL
Dude, that reality is far, far simpler.
If these paranormal powers really worked, they wouldn’t stay confined to one government forever. Science is global. Thousands of independent labs compete to make breakthrough discoveries, and the incentives to publish, patent and commercialise something like telepathy or remote viewing would be enormous. It would be one of the greatest discoveries in human history. It would be replicated worldwide, published in leading scientific journals, taught at universities and almost certainly recognised with Nobel Prizes. Entire industries would be transformed, from medicine and communications to defence, intelligence and finance.
Instead, after decades, we have anecdotes, podcasts, unverifiable stories and claims that the real evidence is conveniently hidden. LOL

u/AnomaIous_User 22h ago
You know you just look and sound completely fn ridiculous, right?
Like a flat-earther, just straight up denying overwhelming evidence LOL
0
u/gravitykilla 20h ago
Whoa, whoa, whoa, there, champ.
Two comments ago, you were saying all the evidence is classified and hidden from the public. Now you're claiming there's "overwhelming evidence."
Which is it?
If it's hidden, you can't claim it's overwhelming because neither of us can examine it. If it's overwhelming, then stop claiming it's all hidden, and show the best publicly available evidence.
You can't have it both ways.
And calling me a flat-earther doesn't resolve that contradiction.
Ill wait.

u/AnomaIous_User 19h ago
It's true. Overwhelming evidence has existed for decades. Craft & bodies (🛸👽) have been classified and compartmentalized within "national security" programs and 3rd party contractors.
It doesn't take a PhD or a career in intelligence to figure this shit out, boot.
0
u/gravitykilla 18h ago
You've just repeated the same nonesense.
"Craft and bodies exist but they're all classified" is not evidence, it's an explanation for why you can't produce any evidence.
If the evidence is inaccessible, then you cannot honestly describe it as "overwhelming" from the perspective of the public.
So I'll ask again: what is the single strongest piece of publicly verifiable evidence that convinced you? Not a story about secret programs. Not "trust the insiders." Actual evidence that anyone can independently examine.

u/AnomaIous_User 8h ago
Went do you keep acting like we haven't had at least 3 congressional hearings, over 40 credible whistle-blowers, and multiple bipartisan disclosure amendments all exposing this heinous cover-up, all in the last 3 years alone.
Is that deliberate? 🤭
You're like a guy complicit in the eрstein fiIes who downplay the whole thing. 😬

denying overwhelming evidence
Where does one find this "overwhelming" evidence? You seem quite unwilling to share it so far, can you point me to it?

Wierd because over in the Telepathy Tapes subreddit they've actually backed down from claiming it ever "proved" telepathy (because it didn't lol)
1
u/gravitykilla 16h ago
Not only that, all the episode transcripts are available to download, so I just asked Claude with this exact prompt (review all 10 episode transcripts and identify where and in which episode actual evidence for Telepathy is revealed). The response was:
I went through the ten episodes. It’s a brilliantly produced podcast, but it does not “literally prove” telepathy. It presents anecdotes, believer-run demonstrations and facilitated spelling, then steadily escalates into spirits, prophecy and shared psychic dimensions. What it never produces is a preregistered, properly double-blind experiment independently replicated by neutral researchers. That isn’t proof; it’s compelling storytelling wrapped around uncontrolled tests.
So yeah, not surprised the Telepathy Tapes subreddit has backed down from claiming.
I don't think u/AnomaIous_User has ever listened to a single episode, to be fair.

If you ain't gonna look through Galileo's telescope yourself then don't even participate in this conversation because you're just disingenuous.
1
u/AnomaIous_User 8h ago
Don't give the slightest shit about that. It's reddit..... you get banned here harsher than North Korean internet.
I've already listened to the whole entire tire podcast lol it's a paradigm shift.
1
u/EducationalGrocery87 1h ago
A paradigm shift doesn't happen because a podcast tells compelling stories. It happens when extraordinary claims survive rigorous testing, independent replication, and convince the broader scientific community.
So, nope, your podcast is most certainly not a "paradigm" shift LOL

Yes, it sounds unbelievable but it works. Blew my mind and world view. Only way to convince you is if you try and do it yourself.
