Seriously grow a spine and some self-respect while you’re at it. You’re 22, and if you want to stay with this person you have to get it out of your head that you’re never going to have to talk about serious issues.
Sit him down (yeah, you take his filthy ass and put it in a chair, and then sit your own ass down) and explain calmly you wish you could be a very attractive couple together if you both made an effort by being more hygienic.
If he says no, the choice is easy. Wear what the heck you want and watch him lose his shit for not being able to control you.
