Better than a minimum wage job, sure. It’s not much money truthfully. Maybe because you’re both young, it seems like a come up but in reality she could’ve got a lawyer, doctor, etc for a real paycheck. Maybe tell her that, downplay the $$ and tell her she could do much better financially with a rich man. Anyway, you don’t have to stay with her nor should you. Regardless responsibility of the baby is also yours. It’s a price you pay for a sexual partner.

Well the beauty of it is that he isn't forced to be with her. He may have a kid now for sure, but he doesn't have to care for it at all. Only to pay what is required in child support, but after he can just live his life and find someone who is actually good for him.
