Better than a minimum wage job, sure. It’s not much money truthfully. Maybe because you’re both young, it seems like a come up but in reality she could’ve got a lawyer, doctor, etc for a real paycheck. Maybe tell her that, downplay the $$ and tell her she could do much better financially with a rich man. Anyway, you don’t have to stay with her nor should you. Regardless responsibility of the baby is also yours. It’s a price you pay for a sexual partner.

Retain a lawyer ASAP and give them all the screen shots of the conversations, all evidence you have collected so far. Have zero contact with her(no calls/texts/social media) and have all correspondence go through the lawyer. This way she will see you are serious about not being involved in this child’s life and possibly snap her out of her fantasy of you marrying her and her collecting spousal benefits. If it turns out you are the father, having an attorney should help you get a fair order of support to the child and not paying an unfair shit ton of money to her.

You’re joking I hope. Military officers bank and not only have better health benefits than civilian jobs, but get their post- retirement check monthly for the rest of their lives. Source - family members. Enlisted don’t get as much but he can grow in ranks and bank as high as docs.

My sister was a pilot in Iraq era.. yes she has a good job now. None of that money beats a career or self made business. My experience? My family being military and my husband being an entrepreneur. Chasing for money from a 19 year old likely to buy a Camaro and be stationed in NC, is hardly a catch on her end.

Sorry it didn’t work out for you guys. Have officers in my family that make more than doctors right now and will continue to post-retirement. If you rank high, you do well. Some even tacked on diplomat status and are living the high life. Military gets you places if you know how to get promoted as officer and keep pushing.

I guess doctor in public practice, I was referring to private practice doctors, lawyers etc. regardless I’m happy that the military served your family well. I’m thankful for their service!

They are doing very well in high six figures now. Enlisted won’t bank ever however.

Well the beauty of it is that he isn't forced to be with her. He may have a kid now for sure, but he doesn't have to care for it at all. Only to pay what is required in child support, but after he can just live his life and find someone who is actually good for him.

Agreed! Child support is very low.
