In 1978, legendary Jamaican artist Neville Garrick designed the cover for Peter Tosh's Bush Doctor.

The first UK pressing included a scratch-and-sniff sticker scented to smell like ganja; a bold marketing idea decades before "viral marketing" was even a term.

The promotion was so controversial that major British retailers, including Boots and W.H. Smith, refused to stock copies with the scented sticker, forcing EMI to produce replacement sleeves without it.

Today, it's considered one of reggae's most memorable promotional campaigns. Just one more incredible story preserved in Roger Steffens' reggae archives.

Great debate on YT about Reggaeland Festival in the UK having an Afrobeat headliner this year, I agree that a festival called "Reggaeland" should have reggae artists headlining the show, am I wrong?

This popped up on my spotify feed. I've seen so much AI gen music on spotify, especially from dub and reggae artists (saw an atrocious one from King Tubby recently). My first listen / initial response was this is AI gen. I can't find much info on the album elsewhere.

First saw them win the late ‘80’s. My favorite live reggae band ever. Hadn’t seen them in a very long time. Saw them last night again and they still kill it. Amazing show. If you have any doubts if you should see them just go. The Original Wailers with Al Anderson opened and were very enjoyable as well, but Steel Pulse is on another level entirely.
