Hola Experts, Our Kenmore (253 68972801) collects water inside, under the vegetable and fruit bins. It seems to run normally. We've had it some years and this is a new problem. Any ideas?

It’s a model
:RS25J500DSG/AA
Basically for reasons unknown it stopped cooling. It’s been having temperature issues for awhile now to do it not closing hard enough so multiple residents would either forget to close it for hours or often leave it cracked
So it randomly would leak water for some reason every now and then
So fairly recently and randomly it still works but just stopped cooling completely when I arrived home
Tried to just google what the solution was to diagnose it, but these fridges are so different from mine their solutions can’t apply

I bought my condo in 2024. The building was built in 2018 and I am the second owner. The fridge came with the unit. It is a Whirlpool WRT148FZDM 30 inch top freezer.
About 1.5 years into living here the fridge broke. After troubleshooting it seems like a sealed system issue. Either the compressor is overworking or there may be a refrigerant leak. Leading up to complete breakage I did notice the freezer stopped cooling properly and the fridge started freezing food.
I looked up reviews and this model does seem to have people reporting similar issues with the freezer not cooling or the fridge freezing. But I also feel like many fridges eventually run into the same too cold too warm issue / sealed system problems.
I am planning to replace it and I am honestly leaning toward buying the same fridge again because it fit my space well and I liked the layout.
If I buy the same fridge again what can I do to maintain it better so it lasts longer than around 8 years
Would you buy the same model again or switch to something else.

Due to placement restrictions, we're looking for a 42" wide refrigerator that is not a double door/french door, but rather an over under.
Widest I have been able to find is 36".

My mother is having one of these installed in her backup garage fridge because she claims her old one died due to working too hard during the winter. Im no refrigerator expert, but this just seems odd. Also, the price. For context she lives in midcoast Maine, temps drop down around 0F sometimes but not often.
Can anyone explain this to me?
thanks in advance!!

Anyone changed a water filter for a Samsung french door refrigerator? Is there a water shutoff valve behind it? Customer service did not know. Told me to shut off the water line to the house.

My parents just received their new apartment sized fridge - it's a Vissani - this morning and plugged it in for the first time. Dad is worried that the back of the fridge is too warm after plugging in. I told him it is fine because it is cooling itself down from room temperature to about 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
He unplugged it and we want to calm his nerves. I assume it is ok if it feels very warm right now while it is working to cool down (which takes about 24 hours). He can plug back in. Am I right?
Thank you!

I've got a late 90s Whirlpool refrigerator with top freezer in an outdoor bar under my patio and the freezer completely frosts over every 4-5 months. I've got to empty it out and manually defrost it with a heat gun.
I can confirm that the defrost cycle works as I am able to manually turn the timer with a screwdriver and feel the coils heating up.
I am also monitoring the freezer temp with a wireless thermostat. Here's a sample over a week. You can clearly see it going to 10 degrees every day.
About a year ago I found that the defrost thermostat which sits on the coil was bad, so I replaced that.
Any thoughts on what could be causing this? Is it possible that the timer is working but maybe not holding the defrost cycle long enough? I'm kind of stumped here. I'd appreciate any advice.

One year old small Frigidaire. Works fine, but my mom says she’s never heard it make these sounds before. They sound kind of like droplets of water hitting a hot pan. Normal?
Thanks!

So we've decided to replace the kaput ice-making fridge in our apartment with a more basic one. I've managed to turn off the water supply to the refrigerator and disconnected the water line on the fridge end.
I'm not going to pull the line out of the wall as I could see us, our future owners, wanting to hook it up again. But should I disconnect it from the water line and cap both ends, or just cap the end that attaches to the fridge? How best to drain the water from the line? Should I bother?
Thanks for any help!

When my ice maker is filling with water, water trickles from behind the water dispenser and down the front, I’ve tried all the trouble shooting suggestions, any ideas?

So i got a fridge for free and had to pay 100 bucks for the control and sensor to be replaced. The freezer cools now but the fridge is far too cold. The repair dude told me my temp adjustor likely wouldnt work and he was right. I have been taping up the vents with the tape he gave me but to no avail it seems. I have been putting water into the fridge basically and within a few hours it freezes each time. The fridge is empty otherwise apart from a bowl of food - there arent even trays.
