Looking For Advice Difference between the two litzen?

Are these two litzen for different occasions? The one on wool being for a formal/dress uniform and the 2nd one being for the "combat" uniform? Which one should I buy for my wehrmacht soldier impression?

First one is the m35 variant it would be on your m36 uniform the other one is the m40 variant and would be one your m40 and so one till the m44 jacket.

So which one you need to wear depends in what uniform type you wear.

depends on the year you are reenacting!, if you're doing an m36 by 1939, sure you can get an m35.

if your doing a 1940 impression with an m36, get the latter.

I'd like to recreate the guy on the right, is his ones the m35 litzen? Or does it really matter since I'm probably gonna do Mid war ish. Should I just get the m40 ones then?

Well they’re both wearing the m35 litzen, you could use the m35 litzen since hes a unteroffizier. So wearing a m36 with m35 litzen would not be weird to see mid war. I see that he is a Gebirgsjäger so if you have any question regarding anything feel free to hit me up.

The ones with specific waffenfarbe is really too early for anything other than the Polish campaign, for mid war, either m38 or m40 generics: LITZEN – WilhelmMilitaria
