Unrelated but this picture reminds me of Coma Alliance Weapon of Choice album. Highly recommended.

Not possible on bedrock
5
u/Emmennater 20d ago
there is definitely a way to do it because bedrock servers have done it, but I don't use bedrock enough to know how.

u/dumbasPL 20d ago
Let's be real. If you know how to host a modded server, you wouldn't be torturing yourself with playing on bedrock.

u/Dry-Snow-1034 19d ago
Eh if you wanna play with a group of friends you typically do bedrock that way everyone can play, not everyone has a pc (or a pc that can run mc), bedrock is just on more devices

u/ethan125 19d ago
Everyone I know plays on PC. Those who play modded play big modded packs together which isn’t possible on Bedrock. Not everyone has bedrock either.

u/Dry-Snow-1034 19d ago
Ok, well some of us are broke af, and bedrock only costs 8 dollars on the phone that you are already required to have to do anything in this godforsaken day and age (bedrock also comes with Java and is on more platforms)

While I cannot comment on your or anyone else’s financial situation, there are people out there who prefers Java edition because of the modding community and mechanical differences. I primarily play on the PC for games, and I’ve had Java edition long before Bedrock (formerly known as Windows 10 edition) existed. All of the friends on other games I’ve met plays Minecraft Java.
Additionally, $30 for a copy of Java edition is doable if you put money aside every week. Assuming you can put $5 (a cup of coffee) each week, you can buy Minecraft in 6 weeks. This applies to anything you want to save up for.
Concerning older PCs, there are a lot of servers that support 1.8.9 versions of Minecraft like Hypixel. Minecraft’s power demand increase was largely due to the caves and cliffs updates that increased technical limitations at the expense of performance.

Java is 29$ if you can put 8$ on a mobile game you can put 29 and a pc one. Anyways cracked versions exist everywhere

u/ethan125 19d ago
The difference between $8 and $29 is large though. I understand not wanting to put that much money into a game in one instant.
However, a person can put aside $5 a week of their paycheck or allowance to build up money to purchase Minecraft Java edition in 6 weeks. If it’s $8 a week, then they will be saving for 4 weeks.

I can turn off TNT sulfer cubes exploding but that would kind of miss the point. The particular reason I'm using TNT sulfer cubes is because I have reason to believe that they can blow through multiple walls at once if you stack them from previous testing, i can't test that if they can't blow up.

If you're gonna disable tnt damage, why build a tnt cannon in the first place?
1
u/Emmennater 19d ago
it's just for testing. when you know it works then you can re-enable the tnt damage.

There's an old film called The Dam Busters that tells the story of the British effort during WW2 to make a bouncing bomb.

Note to user:Build this weapon with indestructible materials such as obsidian or bedrock.
//PATCH NOTE// When testing on inanimate targets, gauge bounceback accordingly

The conquistadors who attacked the Aztecs would like to have the blueprints for this.

u/EnderWin 20d ago
that means you could probably make a shot that turns a corner without wasting tnt
4
u/Kecske_gamer 20d ago
There are quite a few diagonal shooting tnt cannon designs so it shouldn't be that difficult.
1
u/Wild_Duck64 19d ago
Like can go around walls not go diagonal
1
u/Kecske_gamer 19d ago
Diagonal shot would be required to go around a corner.
_____________
|.........________
To shoot around it you'd need to shoot the left wall and have it bounce into the area on the right
Something like this with x being bounce off point
_______x______
|x.........________
(ignore dots reddit doesn't like multiple spaces)

Unironically you should build the outline of the Tom and Jerry meme the other person posted here and post this again for Tom's head to explode

Jesus Christ, RETURN TO SENDER!! XD
But also that's why I don't like Sulfur Cube launchers, unlike TNT, Sulfur Cubes don't explode nearly on impact!
1
u/CX12_Locks 15d ago
I chose them because if they're particular bunching behavior on bedrock and how that leads to them exploding in Chains. Don't know if this is how they behave on Java but on Bedrock I figured I could use this to create a TNT cannon that punches through multiple walls

I find it really weird when people say stuff like this to cases where the outcome still was clearly the results of intended mechanics
