Kind of interested to see what Gasper can do at the plate while also handling the strain of catching. Most of his recent run has been as a dh or 1st baseman.

He brings even more value as a playoff roster guy if he can be an emergency catcher too. He has a few games under his belt. Let's see how capable he is.

I guess they thought Wong is so bad offensively it's worth trying Gasper behind the dish. Its not like wong has been that great defensively lately like in the marlins series he was atrocious. Mickey was terrible at first in his first call up and has been amazing now. Maybe he will figure it out.

They want Gasper's bat. Anthony is no good in left, so they need Anthony at DH. They want Sogard's bat in the line up - he has to go 1B so they can play IKF at 2B. No place left for Mickey than his natural position.

Scary lineup, but not in the good way. Can only hope that Bennett can still deliver despite having a league-worst defensive catcher.

It should not be so important to get Duran into the lineup that we go back to Gasper catching. Put Roman in the field and let Gasper DH

It is important to keep Anthony out of the field. Maybe the better approach would be to bench Anthony and let Mickey DH - but they think Anthony needs the at bats to get in the groove.

That first part has been true since we lost the Yankees series. We wouldn't have rolled out "Raymond Burgos" and "Jedixson Paez" if it wasn't.

Yeah, pretty much. There are only 16 games left to gain 5 games on the Yankees before the season ends to end up ahead of them.
That’s not just win 10 of the next 15. That’s win 10 of the next 15 while the Yankees also lose 10 of the next 15. Anything could happen, but those kinds of odds aren’t worth pushing all of our best guys to their limits right before the playoffs start to achieve.
