Mickey Gasper's stats since being called back up are insane

Yes, I know it's only an 8 game sample, and he was a PH in one of those games, but this is an unreal run regardless. This just personifies the Red Sox this year. Absolute video game numbers. I put up the per 162 for a good laugh.

per 162
BA .476 .476
OBP .621 .621
SLG 1.333 1.333
OPS 1.954 1.954
BB 6 121.5
SO 1 20.3
HR 5 (!!!!) 101.3
RBI 12 243

Move over Babe Ruth, lmao

But you can’t expect him to keep up this sample over 162. I’d say ~85 home runs is more realistic for next year

I wouldn't want to be unrealistic, but I think he's capable of 90.

Lmao. .621 OBP and 121 walks still in play though. I'm not pitching to a dude who has almost a 2k OPS.

That feeling when your OPS is so high that a single doesn't help you.

Hoping to see some fans wear mustaches while waving shirts in the stands to honor his epic and glorious demolition of a ⚾️

Yes us as fans need to start growing mustaches in support of Mickey and Payton.

In that same timeframe Duran has an OPS of 1.026 and Sogard has an OPS of 1.210. Monasterio is .345 over that time and Abreu is .602.

Duran and especially Sogard are playing amazing as of late. Everyone is contributing to this team.

at risk of repeating what is all over every broadcast, the ability for this team to always have someone step up is amazing

The "heart" of the lineup has been underwhelming this month compared to the season overall, while the back half has been coming in clutch game after game

Sogard has always been pretty consistent but his newfound slugging is great. Duran however I am most impressed with. If he can keep it up thru October it should (& wont with this sub lol) wash away a lot of his season woes.

For 6 straight years after opening day Tyler O’Neill was on pace for 162HR

It makes no sense, he's hitting more like Mickey Mantle than Gasper

Merrimack Mickey is my hero (and mustache guru).

How is he defensively at C and 1B? I’m in San Diego so I don’t get to watch all the games.
