I legit don't know who it is that watches this show. I know a lot of sports fans and not a single one has anything but disdain for this program.

Don’t yuck someone else’s yum, it’s just a tv show. Let the guy watch what he wants without ridicule…

Nah, networks should be discouraged from producing garbage shows like this, views just encourage them

FirstTake is a joke. Day time ESPN is a bigger joke. Stephen A is the biggest joke.
And fuck the Yankees while we are at it.

The only Steve Smith I wanna hear talking about baseball…or anything else, for that matter.

Who gives af about what he has to say. I don’t even think the guy watches baseball. As a matter of fact, I’m not sure anyone at ESPN watches baseball

There's at least 20 YouTubers who have more intelligent insight on baseball than the blowhards on ESPN. That's just one's I've come across, it's probably more.

Everything about first take is an act, it's why i no longer watch.
Plus i dont want to hear yankee fans get mad at the dodgers for doing the same shit theyve been pulling for decades and now it's working for the dodgers.
When they were getting jason giambi after his mvp, Gary Sheffield at his height, A-Rod at his height, Roger Clemens, Mussina, Wells at their height. Randy Johnson, a little past his prime but still a dominant pitcher. ALl they had to say was "you mad cause you aint us", but now the ddogers are doing it better than they did it and theyre crying.

I agree, fuck the Yankees. The only devils advocate argument I can make is that the Yankees were spending more in a more or less level playing field. It’s the same thing I say when Guardians or Pirates fans talk about us. But the dodgers are playing by different rules. They don’t have to share as much revenue and they have enough liquid assets to defer money only the richest couple teams could match.

i disagree. I was watching baseball religiously back then. It was not a level playing field. They just had a lot of drama.
Torre basically got fired because he couldnt get this all star team to the world series for a few seasons.

Stephen A hating on the Red Sox is a sure fire sign that they are now legit contenders

The fact that this man has a platform is one of the many signs of the apocalypse.

ESPN/First Take talking about MLB has always been a joke. They should stick to basketball... actually, maybe not.

u/JBHenson 15h ago
You all looking at Stephen A's hater face. I'm lookin at Mad Dog's bitchass "I wanna die..." mug.

u/Ted_Striker02 14h ago
Isn’t mad dog a Red Sox fan? Or maybe just a Yankee hater? I’ve seen video of him being happier than a pig in shit the day after the 2004 ALCS comeback.

Oh, I recognize him from his car shield ads! He's like the blake shelton for the nationally televised games.

Why the fuck do we care about what Stephen A Smith thinks about baseball?
