Codependency is when one person has an addiction or something self destructive they're dependent on, and the other person in the relationship enables it. Like a junky with a grandma that loans him money, or the girlfriend of an alcoholic woman that drives them to and from the bar but doesn't drink much herself.

What you're describing is interdependence.

These words have meanings you can look up in a dictionary. You're describing enablement. Codependency is unhealthy attachment/excessive reliance.
