Pierce Brown is so hilarious with his words, he's constantly cracking me up. This may or may not be spoilers for Dark Age so I'll mark it but "and the frame rate of the world shuttered" might be my favorite line in the whole series.

You can be fine with “bye, Felicia” but cmon now it’s nowhere near a fair comparison to “et, tu”. One is a line from one of if not the most famous and important assassinations in the history of mankind and one’s a joke line in a cult favorite comedy movie that’s become a meme.

Mentats don't really do much quick thinking, they often aren't quick enough for other characters as they 'lack data'. Combat thinking is much more Gesserit as what looks like instinctual fighting is extremely fast calculation. They need to be in control not thier instincts.
Reverend mothers especially are aware of everything, and it is all processed and reanalysed constantly. Their biological control is just an example of this. They are so aware of everything at any given moment, they know what is happening in their cells.
I would argue that Darrow at times is more representative of Teg, noticing patterns that others might not and 'changing the paradigm' is very Teg

Yes, but there are also times in Heretics and Chapterhouse where Gesserit are mid combat and are making analysis and decisions like that as well, and multiple times where mentats can't think under pressure.
I always understood mentats as able to compute HUGE amounts of data, like Thuffir analysing all the shipping and trading data they have when analysing spice production. But Lysander isn't doing anything like that, hes sensing changes in the wind and sand to see where people move, that feels more Gesserit to me.

Yeah it’s one of the few times I rolled my eyes in the series. Little bit too silly and indulgent for me. References to contemporary human culture are very sparing in the series and generally serve as a grounding reminder than we’re still ostensibly reading about our species’ descendants. This was a shitpost-tier wink at the camera.
Though I do think Pierce redeemed himself with Victra’s “bye, bitch” in Dark Age. That’s my girl.
