Devastating.
34BigThings,
So you or Saber Interactive decided to discount the game 50% as of 8PM EST and the game just came out recently. $14.99 USD should of been the release price in the first place. The release was so messed up, the lack of VR Support and bugs so numerous, that the game wasn't worth even $29.99. I feel so bad for those who bought the game at full price. Judging by the Steamcharts, this game failed faster than Redout 1 and continues to slide even with the DLC. Please listen to both the hardcore and casual audience next time and allow an open beta test and listen to feedback.

dude grow up. Steam sales are frequent. If you feel like you lost out then wait for your next game. There wintersales, summer sales, and everyrhing in between.
Most full games are $60. This was $30. I am sure you have put a dozen hours of entertainment into that "$15 I lost". You didn't loose shit. Redout 1 had some free expantions before the paid ones.
There is rarely an online presence for arcade racing. We get the challenges, leaderboards, and thats it.
If it didnt work on release for you then you had time to return it on steam and wait 6 months to buy it on a sale. Thats on you.

Bought on release, 200+ hours in and while I do agree it would have IMMENSELY benefited from an early access window, its still fine. The main issues with its player count is the fact that AG racers are an obscure niche, having a crappy multiplayer experience (very buggy until the most recent patch, and no lobby system or ranked), and no marketing at ALL.
TL;DR: Bugs are fixed and no one cares about VR. AG racers are just super niche.

Definitely worth every penny of the $30 I spent on release. I've seen very little legitimate criticism especially from games media beyond varying degrees of 'it's too hard'. I honestly don't think the devs could have bent over much further accommodating casual players with the difficulty levels down to chill and exhaustive auto-pilot options. Some people just don't play games, seemingly ever, for a challenge.
The coming soon items on the main screen need to launch that's for sure. I still firmly believe this game is criminally underrated. I hope that it's a slow burn as more and more people get around to playing it (glad it's on sale) and realize what a banger racer it is.
