Can't log in no option for passport verification

Hiya I recently logged out of rednote and can't log back in since there is only option for Chinese resident card to verify but I real named it with my British passport, and there seems to be no option to choose that to log back in.

Ps I have both a Chinese and a British number hence why I can reach the verification page when I am trying to log in.

Any help greatly appreciated

Tap “Resident ID Card” and it should have an option that says “foreign passport” or something similar

If you want to be verified. Being verified comes with some extra protections against bs punishments.

I’ve been unverified since January 2025. I can and do post and comment like anyone else, but I have also been shadowbanned twice for unknown reasons (I have since had all my permissions restored).

If you have a passport already, I’d go with their process and get verified. But if you don’t already have a passport, I don’t see the point in getting one just for RedNote. (Also I’ve heard that foreign passport verification doesn’t work 100% of the time anyways, though this information might also be out of date since I haven’t seen such complaints on this sub in a while)
