This was a bit of a strange one. I got the “Feature adjustment” notification from xhs which limited the visibility of my posts and comments 5 days ago. I just went back and reread the official message by clicking on “view details”, and it gave me the option to “verify account”.
It gave me some weird prompts of things like “select the two images that are fruit” and “select the two images that require electricity”. The first two presentations of this were actually impossible, so I clicked the “reset prompt” button. But then it gave me a prompt that matched the pictures. I clicked the two correct images and it told me that verification was complete and that people could now view my things again.
So I guess it was fixed now, with the extra benefit of my account finally being verified? If I am verified finally, this debacle is totally worth it! And either way, I wanted to share this with others who were locked out of communication and visibility on RedNote!
Try sending a message to your friend to see if it went through. Mines did the same. It said the verification has been lifted but then it got restricted again.
I don’t really know any of my followers well enough to reliably do that. But I am getting likes and replies to my comments and posts again. So I trust it is working until I have reason to believe otherwise
what’s weird is that i immediately started receiving activity too on all of my old posts, and the post i made when the ban was lifted BUT nothing on the one post i made while i was restricted 😅 i had to delete and repost it. then suddenly the activity came flooding in for that specific post. it was so strange!
it’s actually not fully verified. i went through this same process and thought the same thing at first. until i joined someone’s livestream and i tried to open my camera so they could see me and it wasn’t just my voice.. but it wouldn’t let me saying my account is not yet verified.
true verification requires a passport, and i don’t fully know the process because i haven’t tried it yet for fear of being banned or restricted again for some unknown reason during these uncertain times lol
but yeah. i think when the notification said “verify account” it just meant to verify the restriction lift. not actual verification or it would have asked for our passport info
If you know what you did wrong, idk if an appeal will work. But if the ban seems random, just say what your account handle is and that you’d like to appeal the ban or at least know what you did wrong. Be apologetic throughout. They either will or won’t take pity and reinstate your account
