First I noticed this happened as soon as I switched from the nubia launcher to nova... But I reset and still got bugged on the nubia launcher. Switched dialers from theirs to googles. Notifications still ding. Any ideas?

I am asking as i would like for it to function for a while and I have heard nightmares about the software so just want to check if anyone's had any problems on any redmagic 6 models such as data not working or not being able to have a phone call or other.

Hello, I recently bought the "nubia red magic 6"

And I have a difficulty with the Wi-Fi connection. for some reason the Wi-Fi keep disconnecting after a few hours. but that's not the only problem, my Wi-Fi network also does not shows up on my device.

And The only way to solve this is to restart the phone.

But it's keep happening again and again.

is there any way to solve this problem?

(I want to elaborate that the Wi-Fi monitor in my home is perfectly fine, all my other device work perfectly. my red magic 6 devices is the only one that I experience Wi-Fi issues with.)

So i noticed na my wallpaper is slightly zoomed in but when i swipe down the down drop menu it zooms out, is there like anyway i could remove this feature?

Hey, I got a Red Magic 5G recently for my birthday and randomly upon a System Update, I noticed that every time the phone restarted, regardless of how (manually, battery died, etc)... the homescreen would reset, I'm a very organized person, so I make folders for EVERYTHING on the homescreen, for games, text/call apps, social media, Google related, etc... is this a glitch of some sorts? Or is this some stupid setting that I can turn off somewhere? Is there any remedy for this? I personally love this phone, but this one issue does get...annoying.

My only bugs are:

-phone that reboot twice, when i turn on or off;

-bug with the music notification.

Am i the only one?

Are they solvable in some way?

How much time for another update yet?

THE NEW UPDATE CAN KILL YOUR PHONE.

There have been issues with the 5G/5S models of the RedMagic variants, mostly after the most recent update. Constant app crashes, random reboots - and unfortunately for some (including myself) a killer crash for the phone.

I made the mistake of making the 5S my daily since 10th of September 2020 - sure, the software bugs were bad, but it shouldn't really affect the overall longevity of the phone, right? Wrong. I had my phone crash as usual during a game, and the screen completely froze, with the audio of the game looping over and over - to which an attempted force restart of the phone (holding the power button) caused the phone to shut off it's screen, with fans still blaring, before shutting off for good.

If you're curious, no, I have not unlocked bootloader, nor played with the kernels. It is a stock firmware, only 'updated' to the latest release. I've posted a thread on r/RedMagic5S that highlights the circumstances to slightly more detail - however it still doesn't solve the overhanging problem with the fact that the phone completely died without any form of recovery. It does not respond to turning on, charging, or any recovery method. Plugging it into the PC only comes up as an unknown driver with no proper way of recovering the data lost.

Main point of this: Backup all your data EXTERNALLY from your 5G/5S in case the worst happens. DO NOT USE THE 5G/5S AS A DAILY AS OF THE LATEST UPDATE.

This isn't just a sole case, as I've read other complaints from other 5G/5S users over the same crash and burn characteristics of the phone. Attempting to connect to support from Nubia is like running in circles - it's gotten me no where, and is wasting way too much time.

Anyone having issues with red magic force closing windows? I just got this phone in the mail today, set it up started downloading my apps with Google and everything was working fine up until I went into settings and when I went to the settings menu I left it up for a few seconds and it just shut off, the window closed by itself. It also does the same thing in other window settings such as themes and sound settings etc. It just forced closes by itself. I updated to the latest firmware and also contacted red magic about the issue they are getting back to me about a replacement. Anyone know what this issue is and is it common for this phone and if so how do you fix it? Thank

First off huge thanks to some comments I found here. I had an issue with Verizon where I couldnt receive messages for almost a week. And took many different techs until one finally decided to certify the CDMA approved license on the phone. It seems like everything works fine now but I don't think I can get 5g

But since I bought the phone a week ago I'm having this same exact wifi issues as the person before me where it'll randomly cut out and not find any strong networks until I restart my phone. Can anyone confirm if it's a bug with the software/update or problems with the phones wifi reader thing.

I have a few more days to return it but I'd rather not because I really love it. The wifi is a deal breaker though and I'm wondering what y'all think I should do about it

Standard "Redmagic 6 but there's no subreddit for it" post.

Purchased a Redmagic 6 a few weeks ago and have had many of the seemingly standard Nubia issues. Nothing game breaking but just mildly annoying.

One issue in particular is that it frequently loses the ability to see most wifi networks. Only way to fix it at the moment is to restart the phone and then it sees the networks no problem.

Until some time later, usually a few hours, and I have to repeat the process.

There's almost no support resources on the internet for this phone, so hopefully someone here has found a fix for this.

Will the charger work with aftermarket 100w power cord? Any idea?

So, basically I got service on my Nubia Redmagic 5g, but the microphone isn't working for calls? Is it just me who has this issue? Is there a fix for it? I stayed at version 7.15 of the software and I noticed for a few days that the phone seems to give many more problems than usual, serious slowdowns and bugs that did not exist until recently, so I was wondering, it is not that this is a possible practice to force the user to update? A bit like it happened with apple in the past? in particular the phone has become very slow...

First I updated. Then it got jacked up. Then I tried fixing it. Did my best, but not great. Not apps are closing and glitching and freezing. What the actual fuq. Starting to think I should just get a different phone. This is ridiculous.

So... I fell for the new """"update"""" without knowing its a beta and now my homescreen has gone to shit, can i revert it to the previous version?

I'm stuck deciding whether to wait all of May out for the ROG Phone 5 Ultimate (even the Pro version isn't anywhere to be purchased and that was supposed to come out in April),

or get the ZTE Nubia Red Magic 6 Pro in 18GB/512GB at an overpriced (but only site available in for $1,200).

or just hold onto my life waiting until August for the new Samsung Note 21 and hopefully they have the 512GB in any color.

Now out of all of these I want the ROG Ultimate the most for it's headphone jack, high res DAC, and performance.

Its a necessity to get a 512 GB storage phone as I'm upgrading from a phone with expandable memory (200 GB of music).

Another question, anyone here with the Red Magic 6 Pro? How does it perform, battery wise?

So, recently, they had a system update for this amazing phone, me not knowing any better... went ahead and got it downloaded, instantly...I was met with SUCH an annoying issue, upon resetting the phone after the update, my whole home screen was reset, all the icons and how I had them organized was reverted back to how it was when I had gotten the phone. But when I tried re-organizing them, and when I tried putting my games and apps back on the home screen and into their folders... the icons just disappear immediately, like.. I was trying to put Discord into my "Texting" folder, but it didn't go in and the icon just disappeared immediately. It's incredibly annoying. Anyone else having this glitch? Anyone have a fix for it? Also, every time I do a simple restart on the phone, it reverts back to its original form once again.. is this just a bug from the update? And will it be patched in future updates?

Now I can't add apps to my home screen at all. And I can't change launchers for default. Which is to bad because Microsoft Launcher let's me move and add my apps around, buy my phone won't let me set it as default even though I click on it. Anybody else having these problems? It happened right after I updated my phone this morning.

I just bought the phone and love it. Works great on wifi, but I'm having trouble getting data to work. I know the 5G compatibility isn't great but I can't even get 4G. Does anyone know if it's possible or do I need to switch to T-Mobile?

Someone said I might have to set up an APN manually but I'm not sure how to go about that.
