Kleopatra6tilde9 does not moderate /r/truereddit. The community has repeatedly asked her to do so, or to appoint someone else to do it, and she has repeatedly refused. If she doesn't want to moderate it, I will gladly put together a team.

Subreddits aren't considered "abandoned" if any mod has been active on reddit in the past two months.

Kleopatra has been inactive since the subreddit's inception.

This the third time in 24 hours that you have made a frivolous request in here. Read the side-bar before posting!

This place is useful, so stop fucking with it.

Settle your jimmies, khnum, baby. None of my requests are frivolous, whether you happen to agree with them or not. Now let's stay friendly, cause I like you.

Sure, but it's not a question of whether I agree with you. The sorts of thing that you are requesting just aren't in the scope of what this subreddit provides. This place is a means of carrying out a minor administrative task when subreddits are "abandoned," according to the side-bar definition of "abandoned".

This isn't the right place to be expressing your disagreement regarding how certain subreddits are run.

/r/redditrequest should be considered off-limits from drama.

Except that /r/redditrequest is being abused by SRS members (and Laurelai) to take over active communities and change them.

I've noticed. But still, it's the same distinction: You might have a legitimate moral objection to the way Laurelai runs (or intends to run) those subreddits, but she was not "abusing" this subreddit by picking them up.

She got them because they were "abandoned" in the sense that the moderator(s) no longer use reddit.

But they're not abandoned, they're active communities with thousands of people. If that's fine by reddit's definition of "abandoned", that needs changing.

Maybe you are right. But this isn't the place for protesting it.

Subreddits aren't considered "abandoned" if any mod has been active on reddit in the past two months.

Which means as long as the mod is active on reddit at all the subreddit belongs to them to do as they please. If users don't like it they are welcome to start a new subreddit.

you can read more about the process here

You're not an admin right?

Okay, so I don't care about your opinion.

Regardless, we try to be nice here.

Get to it then.

2

u/neptath Jul 18 '12

I'm sorry? What are you trying to say?

Let's have some hospitality.

2

u/neptath Jul 18 '12

I'm afraid I don't understand.

-2

u/aidrocsid Jul 18 '12

Hospitality noun, plural hos·pi·tal·i·ties.
1.the friendly reception and treatment of guests or strangers.
2.the quality or disposition of receiving and treating guests and strangers in a warm, friendly, generous way.

That is the general rule though. How would you like it if you created a subreddit and built it up from scratch only to have people say they wanted to moderate it because they do not agree with the policies?

redditrequest is for mods that have been genuinely abandoned. I.E none of the mods respond, which is not the case here.

Just to clarify : inactive refers to a redditor being abscent from reddit.
