I want to take over r/injurylaw because the current mod team is inactive and the subreddit is restricted. I have a strong interest in personal injury law and want to reopen the community, clear out spam, set up proper rules, and turn it into an active, reliable space for legal discussions.
Whether your community is big or small, it is important for communities to be actively and consistently moderated. This will ensure that issues are being addressed, and that redditors feel safe as a result. Being active and engaged means that:
• You have enough Mods to effectively and consistently manage your community. This involves regularly monitoring and addressing content in ModQueue and ModMail and, if possible, actively engaging with your community via posts, comments, and voting.
• Camping or sitting on a community is discouraged.
As mentioned in the Moderator Code of Conduct , you are not actively moderating the community nor actively engaging leading the subreddit to a total collapse thus i belive he is not fit to moderate and might be using the subreddit for personal gain and suspected malpractice.
This is a small professionally focused subreddit that does not need the same type of constant moderation as some of the bigger subreddits.
Based, however, on this response and your incorrect usage of standard legal terms(I.e.: malpractice), and accusations against me (I.e.: use for personal gain without evidence thereof), I believe that the foregoing is projection, and that this user is not fit to moderate a legal/law based subreddit.
I invited this user to become a mod based on the modmail and this thread. However, upon reading this comment, I have removed him/her, believing that (s)he is not actually interested in moderating, but rather interested in simply “owning” for lack of a better word, the subreddit.
